The recommended method of cleaning the foam is to use a mask wipe or baby wipe to clean it off. It is not to be washed like you so with other masks.

The water in sweat is funny that way--but not amusingly so.
Cloth wicks the moisture away from your skin, for a warmer feeling when the room is cold,
and a cooler feeling when the room is hot.
The porous cloth also silences the occasional "face fart", so they are less disturbing.
The memory foam in the Airtouch cushion is for fit, and possibly noise abatement.
Not sure how much temperature control it can do, because different foams have different properties.

I have never had a moisture problem with silicone. My Quattro cushions last me a long time. I rarely wash them and only wipe it down each night with a baby wipe. I have tried the F20 Silicone mask and I did not have any problems with it, but, I still like my Quatro the best. With the Quattro I am able to boil the cushion about every 3 months...it comes out like brand new. I'm reluctant to try the boiling with the F20.

I have been using the Airtouch F20 (with the foam) with a Pad-a-cheek liner. Just about any mask I have used I have ordered one of her liners. They help with leaks, keep my face from being irritated by the mask material, and I sweat much less with the liner than without. I don't use a wipe on the foam part just the hard plastic and wash the liner. At first, when I started with this mask it fit quite well with no leaks but I found later on into the night I was being awakened by mask farts so I bought one of her stabilizer straps and no longer have that problem.

Thanks tuzacat! The usefulness of the padacheek stabilizer strap would have been my next question (I have one for my Mirage Quattro) - so you've answered that for me up front - I'm now looking forward to giving this all a try out soon

Good luck, Roger! It was quite a journey for me to get comfortable and leakless so, hopefully, you will be able to resolve those issues soon! Let us know how it goes.

Roger---The foam just adheres to your nose. Just adjust the straps correctly and wala. Follow the directions. The bad news is the foam must be replaced about once a month, If you have insurance tha'ts good. If not you pay out of pocket. Yes the foam is like the top part of the mattress. After a couple weeks they told me it just does not bounce back.

I have been at this for over 6 weeks. I have been through at least a dozen mask and hated all of them. My results were so-so. Cannot say I am in love with airfit 20--but I am getting excellent results. 91 on res med score today. The problem is when when i wake up and turn over, the mask starts to leak. Actually it leaked last night. The leaks were so small I still had just 0.6 events. Some nights I have no leaks. So when I wake up, I take the mask off and let the foam bounce back. Five minutes later I put it back on and the foam is ready to go again.

No liner needed as far as I am concerned. You just adjust things so you are comfortable-not miserable. Takes a few nights.

Roger--second time I am posting this. Dont see it. The foam adheres to you nose. Comfy. No liners needed. Have been at this now for over 6 weeks. Hated all the masks I have had. This one is a bit bulky but when i see the results, I am motivated to put up with it. Last night 91 on res med and 0.6 events. Even had some small leaks.

Sometimes it leaks when I turn over, Doc told me small leaks are okay. So I take it off for five minutes while the foam bounces back. Then start all over again. So far this is working. The down side is the foam part should be replaced about once a month or when it stops bouncing back. Ins covers it, but if you have no ins you pay out of pocket. I do believe this is the only mask so far with the foam. So far so good. Roger-over and out!

I have wipes especially for the nose and foam part. You can get them at Medical supply place. When the foam part no longer bounces back--time for a new one.
My ins. covers replacements. No insurance-you pay.

Thanks A Mess - do you mean like these? As in these keep the "memory foam" part of the cushion clean for you?

https://www.amazon.com/RespLabs-Origina ... wipes&th=1

Or did you mean something else entirely?

Go to pharmacy and get a package of non-alcoholic baby wipes for about $2-$3. Work as well as the $10 CPAP wipes.

Ha! Thanks LSAT and Goofproof for keeping me honest - yes, I usually link to Amazon stuff because it's easier for all to see on the web, but when it comes to paying for something, let's always point out the less expensive way to get the same job done - in this case, baby wipes and a magic marker - I love it!
