How could that be accomplished and what skills would it take? Just wondering because I know people. Would it take having access to the back-end of the program or could an outsider do it? On TV they make it look so easy. lol
They'd have to get hold of the server logs...
A little work with those would show where the problem is.
If only the forum owners gave a damn.

Call the Russian, North Korean, and Chinese hackers, should have done it before Bitcoin hit $5,000. Jim

They consider it in their best interests not to get involved with the goings on here. They could possibly be sued if they did or something like that. I wish I could find the post where someone explained that, but I haven't been able to.

Only if they were doing it because they were getting rid of medically unsound advice. If they do it because the person is actively attacking the forum, then it would not set a precedence for monitoring medical advice.
In many ways, this is similar to libel. These continuous posts are causing people to leave this forum. It is downgrading the reputation of the forum, and could be costing sales for the forum owner. Hard to prove, of course. But it is causing harm.
If they find the source, and it turns out to be somebody trying to harm their business, they could go after them legally. The key is to determine who it is and why before taking action. So, they have a defense if somebody tries to claim that they are monitoring medical advice.

No, the posted reason is that Johnny has a quixotic notion of 'free speech'. While it's an admirable idea, and I'm sure he's a superb human being.... it just doesn't work on the internet, as witnessed by the chaos.

According to someone I just asked, accessing their servers without proper credentials would require unscrupulous entry, which I imagine no one is interested in becoming that invested. Even if I could, I wouldn't.

More than unscrupulous, it would a criminal act if not authorized. Potential for criminal and civil penalties etc etc.

Folks: we get this all the time. People come and go. We help more people than we can imagine. This will pass.... then start up again.

But mixed in with the helpfullness is a huge amount of crap. The people that think this is their platform to try and be funny....so their responses are basically one liners that do nothing helpful at all. Go on facebook and entertain your friends...this really isn't the platform for your bad jokes.
Then the arguing about minor details that do not mean anything....my GOD, get over it. Quit splitting hairs and questioning every single thing. Today was an argument about terminology and one guy was ridiculously corrective, then others attacked him, then insults....get over yourselves.
I was really hoping this site was a place to see what others are going through and find tips and help on this cpap journey. But i am not going to wade through the juvenile ego crap every day.
Good luck everyone
Totally Agree!

The forum exists to help people with apnea, not mental disorders.
Whan the mental disorders interfere with cpap help, we have to wonder why we are here.

This was posted three times. I'll assume it was a forum glitch.
I'm going to change the wording of the post a bit:
- The forum exists to help people with apnea, not Cancer. When Cancer interferes with cpap help, we have to wonder why we are here.
I don't see any difference.
People come here with all kinds of issues. Some for sleep apnea; some for a zillion other reasons. Some for sleep apnea AND other issues. Better to say nothing and move on than to say something that doesn't help.

Shame on you, Lucy!
Obviously, you never read the thread.
It was full of HOPE, not hate.
YOU COULD LEARN SOMETHING.
Actually, cpap HELPED with my recovery after surgery, even though I consistently used the OT designation.
Apparently, "off topic" is no longer a "thing".
