Pressure is the resistance measurement through a vessel created by the amount of flow. Therefore if there is a loss of pressure the flow generator will increase flow until the required pressure is achieved. Increased pressure is a result of increased flow. According to the definitions CapnLoki is correct and is hereby declared the winner!!

you have to increase the pressure at the source to account for the losses in hose leaks and mask to deliver the pressure to the end user
the flow comes along for the ride and is irrelevant
This forum is about therapy. For that, that counts is mask pressure and flow volume; the pressure at the source is meaningless. This is why you don't seem to understand cpaps.
