Perfect!
1) If my behavior is like that of the poster in question I would fully expect to be "turned on at any time"Guest wrote:How is what this thread about any different than what you are talking about? My thoughts exactly. It's disconcerting that any old thing is okay I think it leads to people leaving, since there is no control. I've never heard of a site having no Terms of Service. Seems odd. There is so much talent, wisdom and experience here by quite a few posters. Maybe, it could be channeled in a different way. I'll keep my eyes open.TASmart wrote:1) If my behavior is like that of the poster in question I would fully expect to be "turned on at any time"Guest wrote:How is what this thread about any different than what you are talking about? 2) I have read Johnnie views on censorship. I don't agree, he believes in allowing all forms of verbal expression, I believe there should be limits. I understand Johnnies concerns about who is watching over the censors, which can lead to the current situation on college campuses wherein only speech adhering to the accepted dogma is encouraged and all outside of that is forbidden and shouted down. I am not for that level of restriction, but name calling, denigration of mentally disabled and political name calling are not acceptable behavior in my view. As I said, that's my view, and God Forbid, sometimes I fail to meet my expectations ( written in expectation to the inevitable pointing out on my hypocrisy), but that's the price of being human.
But the rules are set by them that pays the bills on a publically accessible privately owned forum, so I will live by them and occasionally feel free to express my view on those rules, as was clearly intended.
I see Johnny is totally misunderstood so allow me to make clear why I ever posted in this thread to begin with.Guest wrote:Have you done yoursJulie wrote:That person demeans themselves and most others here... you haven't done your homework.

It is easy to point the finger "elsewhere" and imagine a utopia will result. It is hard to do the work and take responsibility to make your first utopia internal. Paraphrasing Ghandi - be the change you wish to see in the world.
To say that is totally off the mark. I don't know how you or anyone can come away with that. IMO to say or even think that is a serious misunderstanding but posting info like will surely taint others.SunnyBeBe wrote: that any old thing is okay

I still hate the word "libtard" though and will never implement it as part of my regular vocabulary!Madalot wrote:Can't argue you with you there. The truth, reality and logic of it cannot be denied. You could it you would click on the links pertaining to your therapy, this post doesn't. Usually the title let's that cat out of the bag, but not always. Like on your T.V., you have your remote, you can control which channel you watch. Not all are good, for your tastes, but all them have a following somewhere, the difference here we are allowed to talk back, instead of shouting at the screen. (Which I do!) There is no record that Ghandi said that.Guest wrote:Paraphrasing Ghandi - be the change you wish to see in the world.
I'm surprised. I was pretty sure you thought that liberals are irresponsible.Goofproof wrote:

It's only fair to post "Quotes" full in context! Truth isn't worth much to Liberals, it interferes making their point fit their needs. Jimephraimh wrote:I knew I shouldn't have posted that last one. The apnea must have gotten the better of me.
