Sorry, but the dropdown for machine used still doesn't work, but since I'm currently using a Sullivan V Lightweight, I guess it doesn't matter, right?

Fudge, Johnny! That leaves me, who lives outside a "village" in a rural area (however, my DME & Sleep Lab are in a nearby decent size city) and don't know anyone on PAP except my son-in-law who lives outside my small "village" too, tho in the opposite direction from us, on the "short" side of being selected for all but the "mail" products. *sigh* Story of my life! But wouldn't change my rural living for "city" living no how, no way. I even volunteered for 2 rather "benign" clinical trials I was interested in being held by a University not too far away and couldn't meet eligibility simply because my health problem wasn't "severe" enough to qualify. (NOT complaining about the lack of "severity" tho!!!!).

Well done, keep the innovation coming. It's in the interest of all apnea-affected people for manufacturers to develop better devices, and for cpaptalk.com to be fiscally viable, so I'm registered, and hope it works out.

Do we try products at home? How does this work?

I one case I know about; a CPAP mask manufacturer made a phone call and did some preliminary screening.

Paperwork, informed consent form, and a mask fitting kit was sent.

The paperwork and mask size was sent back to the manufacturer.

The manufacturer sent an investigational mask for trial.

The manufacturer called periodically to fill out a questionnaire.

When the trial was done, a final questionnaire was filled out over the phone.

The manufacturer sent a pre-stamped return envelope.

The mask was placed in the return envelope and put into a mail box.

If the mask is put into production, the manufacturer will provide a complementary mask.

Do I have a question? Yes, I have a question:
Why is it that, when I click on the link for Product Trial System Enrollment: cpaptalk-trial-questionaire.php
I get the standard "This Page Cannot Be Found" screen?

Tomminator - the original post was from 2005.
Websites change, eh?
At the top of every page now is the 'product challenge' link.
I suspect this evolved from the old link.

This IS different than the CPAPtalk Product Challenge. It has moved to your User Control Panel here in CPAPtalk (top left - when logged in). Go to User Control Panel, click on the Profile Tab, the click on Product Trial System. Direct Link: ucp.php?i=profile&mode=product_trial

Is there a requirement to have been on xPAP therapy for a certain amount of time? This sounds interesting to me, but I've only been on the hose for a week. Thanks.

If you use an xPAP, you qualify.

One of the programmers for CPAPtalk is working in that area now and so it is not functioning properly. Try back in a bit please and sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks.
