Oh.....THAT number......
I THOUGHT I had figured that out about a year ago, but it's been so long since I actually went looking for it......kept looking in the maze of numbers and letters that comes up when it's started up. Sheesh!....DUH!, etc.

ANYWAY......

The "new" Auto and the (2005 vintage) Pro 2 have v. 2.7 and the "old" Auto has v. 2.5

SO, I assume they upgraded the firmware in the Pro 2 when they were "fixing" it.

Den,

How "old" is your old (2.5) auto? This was the last one on there shelf but they can order more. The M series is what they are carrying now and she really wanted the older, more tested machine....

The bad part of course is not knowing what they "fixed" between version 2.5 and the latest 2.7 firmware. Even their site doesn't get involved in any explanations...

I'm sure the "old" Auto is about the same vintage as my Pro 2 (early half of 2005).
I can recall other posts very early this year that talked about version 2.6 on their machines, which may have come from the latter part of 2005 and/or early 2006.
Obviously, since I had never experienced this recording gap, I assumed it was a flaw in the machine.....but when the Pro 2 came back with the same "flaw", then I really began to wonder what the heck was going on. Unfortunately, Respironics didn't explain this "feature" through the channels of communication.

I can't say I'm happy about that "feature", but if that's what it IS, then I guess I can learn to live with it......even though it's shorting me at least 3650 minutes a year on my therapy hours. (it usually doesn't take me 10 minutes to fall asleep)

My Rems, tar APAP, seems to start recording when I turn it on, it's just that it doesn't change pressure or have anything to mark until I doze off. Usually when I doze off, I snore, it marks that and starts raising the pressure to control it. It seems to work just like the smart machine it's supposed to be. Maybe I got the bad one, but I have two and they both do the same. If mine are broken I hope they don't fix themselves. Jim

I've got my day set to start at 10 p.m., and I get to bed about 12:30 to 1:30, time for the night starts when the machine starts, but treatment doesn't start until the machine senses I need it. Just the way I want it.

Thanks,

Den

All I have hooked up is the used APAP, and I went upstairs, and found out I didn't know how to bring the firmware up. I ran it into the theapry mode and didn't see it.

Unplug and then plug it back in...

You will see a number like 2.5 flash on the screen for about 3 seconds then go to the regular screen you're used to seeing...

Jim,

Marc (Malibu) had to remind me yesterday. Unfortunately, the "compliance nights" are low on the machines that have the new versions in them since they came back from Respironics and I was mistaking the 2.7 for compliance nights instead of the firmware version. But, it's all by itself in the middle of the screen.....it'll either be 2.5, 2.6 or 2.7.

Thanks,

Den

Mine must be a Old Dog, It shows 2.3, and 1700+ hours. I never pay attention, Got to get my glasses got to get a light, need a cup of coffee to focus, by the time I get it all together, I've forgot what I wanted to do.

I am using the Auction machine, trying to wear it out, it's only messed up once in 450 hours, Bells and whistles went off in the middle of the night, had to unplug it for a reset. Jim

Mine's v. 2.5, if that helps at all. 3609.2 hours and going strong.
