The 8 hour sleepers (and greater) don't seem to want to pipe up. I average 8+ with weekends a little longer. Arthritis and not enough exercise (I think) makes my sleep more broken than I would like so I compensate with duration.

I'm another "8-hour-er". I usually get up about 5:15 AM, bout 50/50 whether or not I'm up a couple of minutes before the alarm or reach over and shut off the alarm. I try to get to bed about 8:30, the same time as our 10 yr old son, but usually don't make it until 8:45 or 9. Then I read for a few minutes (15 max or my back kills me the next day), put on mask, turn out lights and I'm gone in about 3 or 4 minutes. I wake maybe once or twice, roll over and get back to sleep pretty easily.

If I have a day off, I may even go for 10 hours or so, but no more "turbo-sleep" like a couple of years ago. Turbo-sleep for me was 15-20 hours straight sleep to try and catch up on rest. Strangely, before I got my APAP, it really didn't seem to help me get rested! Imagine that! LOLOL

I can get by pretty good on 5 or 6 hours sleep for a couple or 3 nights, but 8-9 seems to be optimal for me.

For me...during the week, I am looking at 7.5 hours, (which doesn't seem to be enough), and during the weekend I am looking at 10+ ...basically I don't want to get up unless I have too...
