I tried snoozie_suzys fix last night. Woke during the night and put the hose back in the down position. I think the hose has become like a security blanket for me. If I don't feel it, I wake up. Who'd a thunk? Maybe I'll try it again some night and see if I have better luck. Not being able to wear the hose over the head will limit my mask choices alot.

Thanks Suzy for the detail and links. I pick up my new goodies tomorrow and I'm looking forward to tweaking the set-up.

Thanks again!

You're welcome Paul!

I wish I had batteries for my camera as I would gladly post a picture of my mask with the tubing attached and velcro. It truly isn't difficult once you attach the short Activa tubing to the Hybrid mask, then use the plastic hose connector piece and attach the short tubing to the regular tubing. This gives the whole mask flexibility so that it doesn't pull on the mask as much and give leaks.

The velcro thing might sound a bit confusing, but all it is is pulling up a little of the short tubing on either side of your face and you could either use the velcro to attach it to the side of the headgear strap, or I think as another user suggested just pin up part of the hose to your sheet with a safety pin or something. And as Brenda pointed out, she didn't find she even needed to pin up any hosing, just let the hose drop to the floor.

I use the Hybrid as a Swift alternative when I have congestion or nap.

I use the Activa short hose connected to my xPAP which is on a 1/2 cinder block next to my bed. I keep the hose pointed down along my body and it functions like a body pillow almost. It twists and turns with my side to side shifting and causes no problems. The Activa short hose was the real solution - it added much more flexibility.

I've tried using my Oracle small hose on the Hybrid, but can't get the Hybrid swivel off!!! I think it might work like the way you seem to be using your Activa hose.

Any tips at getting the Hybrid's swivel loose???

Thanks
