The CL2 was a disappointment for me plain and simple.

Has anyone gotten the Direct Seal interface with their CL2? I was possibly going to order them but didn't want to spend the money if they didn't work well.

I started out with the Breeze, then the Swift, and about 2 weeks ago obtained the CL2 with pillows. I found the Breeze two heavy and complex, the Swift ok, but irritated the area below my nose, and the CL2 the best of the three. While similar to the Breeze, it is lighter and the adjustments simpler. I had trouble with the standard pillow, but found using the larger pillow eliminated the leaks. However when traveling I use the Swift, as it is easy to pack.

he CL 2 is ok, maybe I will like it better when I cut off the original heavy swivel and fork out the $15 for the hose extention. the stiff headpiece does not sit flat but still manages to leave my hair, in one area, with the look corn fields have after a wind storm, I find the adjustments on my breeze easy and give me better adjustment. For me there is only one adjustment possible on CL - the screw for up and down, as the " in and out" adj is adjusted in as far as it will go and I still need to add a tie round the tube and the back of my head, this tie also works well to steady the Breeze - especially if your hair is "slippy". When I turn over when wearing the Cl it always wakes me up and has to be adjusted, but that could be the heavy swivel problem.
Have not decided how I feel about the headgear, I took it off and use stocking legs. But it is nice to be able to lie on your back for a change, SO, overall as masks go, I voted it a yes.

My first and only mask is the CL2, I'm just a newbie. I'm a 100% side sleeper and it does not get in my way at all. At first the nasal pillows made my nostrils sore, but I switched off with the simple mask a few nights and made some adjustments to the nasal pillows from suggestions I read here. Now I love the nasal pipllows and can barely feel them at all when I sleep. Yeah the head gear mashes the bageebies out of my hair.......but I'm breathing when I sleep, which is a great thing.

Use the CL2 for a mask change once in awhile. It works for me with the elbow mod and have to use panty hose mod because the angle adjustment (squeeze the two tabs to get it closer to nose) doesn't have enough range to get under my nose. Other than that I love how light it is, and the stability of it seems ok. I voted a sucess with mods.......... Chuck

[quote="TerryB"]I just can't keep the CL2 adjusted in angles and nozzle size to fit me. I can start a night with it but have never made it past the first couple hours. It seems too adjustable and won't stay in the necessary shape/location.

Identical experience. I used the CL2 doe 2 months and couldn't get a decent night sleep.
I recently started using a Swift. Best of the many I have tried. It fits fine, no leaks and stays in place all night.

I voted yes.. The pillows at first did give me sore nares but then I discovered the lanolin fix (thanks to this community) and have not had sore nares since. I also use the panty hose trick to slightly tighten the pillows to my nares (thanks Rested Gal).
I like the flexibility it gives me, if I want to give my nares a break I can use the simple cushion. The CL2 very light and easy to put on and doesn't leave marks on my face. Debating about cutting the elbow off though as I haven't really had a problem with it. I do agree that the swivel is very cheap.

I tried the Breeze during my titration study and didn't dislike it but was drawn to and impressed w/the lightness and "lessness" of the Swift at the DMEs. We also tried the F&P HC 407 nasal mask during my titration study. I came home w/the Swift but HATED the headgear. After two weeks w/the Swift my upper lip was getting uncomfortable and I couldn't seem to roll it away from my lip. I would switch to the 407 when I got up during the night. We couldn't reduce the leaks enough w/either despite several attempts at fitting and the DME suggested we try the CL2.
I like the CL2. Its the best fit so far. I like the headgear and find it comfortable w/no further adjustments for fit than we originally made. I did find the switch from the small pillows to the medium to be more comfortable w/less leak. I was only given the 3 sizes of pillows and would like to try the seals but expecially would like to try the nasal mask that should have come w/it. On occasion I've had some minor irritation of the nostrils but nothing that has lasted more than an hour after taking it off in the morning. Still w/less than 30 days on the CL2 nasal pillows I would like to try the nasal mask as an alternate should the nostrils get uncomfortable. I'll be approaching my DME about that today.
I do agree that the swivel is very poor design. So far a minute drop of vegetable oil has made it acceptable but it certainly doesn't match the spin and ease of the Swift or 407 swivels. The company needs to go back to the drawing board for the CL2 swivel!

Like it - nasal pillows, never prongs.
Nasal salve is regularly necessary as already said here.
The pillow size is critical.
I taped the two small tube extension joints to stop a slight but irritating air leak coming into the eyes.
I have it initially slightly too tight under the nose. After a few minutes, when the pressure is full, I move the whole mask slightly downwards to the point where it is about to leak. With a bit of practice you can achieve the the minimum pressure against the underside of the nose and that way the least soreness.

I have been using CL2 w/nasal pillows for almost 3 months. I like the light weight and the lack of pressure from a mask on the cheeks and nose bridge. The headgear can be a bit unstable with smooth long hair. A ponytail and the strap under it helps some. I've been experimenting with various straping methods to stabilize it all. Tender nares can be a problem but I haven't developed sores or such.
After about 2 months I did notice a new skin wrinkle crosswise on my nose about halfway up from being a little scrunched up at night. This situation I'm watching closely. Have never read any post that this has happened to anyone else.

I really like my Comfortlite 2
The nasal pillows were alittle hard to get used to, but for sleeping on my side, you can't beat this
I really like the idea of no strap marks in the morning
I use the small nasal size, after some tweaking it works great for me
I still need a ffm for nights when my sinuses are driving me crazy
Take Care
