My DME told me that some people put whiskey in their humidifier to help them sleep better, but I prefer plain ole distilled water. Why mess with a good thing?

I know people are joking, but don't fool with booze in the humidifier. Some of this stuff becomes considerably more flammable when you heat it.

You resurrected a dead hydrogen peroxide thread to ask about BPA?
There probably is.

My water jugs are the same material as milk jugs.
Are you afraid of milk?
Some have good reason; but it has nothing to do with the jug.

DISINFECTING –
Once you have cleaned the humidifier, you should disinfect it by filling the water tank with clean water and adding one teaspoon of bleach to every gallon of water. Or, if you prefer, you can use 3% hydrogen peroxide instead. Gently swish the solution to coat the tank evenly, and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes. Rinse THOROUGHLY.
Put the humidifier back together, fill the tank with cool water and resume regular use.

i have been using it for years now to keep my water tanks clean, house humidifier clean ( it does not get gross and slimy anymore) and yes in my cpap humidifier also not only as a cleaning solution but in the tank, put in a tablespoon of 3% with distiled water. the worst that can happen is it breaks down to more water and oxygen as it reacts with anything that passes thru the filter and comes into contact with the solution in the humidifier chamber. worst case scenario, i think the small amount of oxygen might do someone good. i would be more concerned with off gassing of everything else in your home being potentially more hazardous , so to speak.....

To eliminate mask face in the am, I just bury my face between wife’s garbanzos till I can’t breathe anymore. Problem solved. Face smooth as baby’s butt.
