RG,
Do you think the data needs to be split or was it easy enough to read just on the one page ?
& thanks for the other link.

"So...they want you to buy their masks in order to find out some basic info about the masks, huh.
I guess you're lucky they didn't throw in a lecture about how you should go to bricks-and-mortar DMEs, for "best" support and followup. "
Well, I DID get chastised for using a 'foreign' item with their equipment, "You will get the best therapy by using only ResMed products WITH ResMed products..." yada yada, "The mask and the machine work together..." yada yada yada.
I do like the Vantage S8; I think it has done very well for me so far. I DON'T like ResMed masks, though. And I think their thinly veiled move to squeeze on line retailers sucketh.
Thanks to all!

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you to all who contributed on this post. DSM, nice job on the website. I see you listed my data for the Activa, and I also see I was the only nitwit who decided to give you decimal point accuracy (honestly, I could tell the difference between 0.7 and 0.5 on that two by two plot!). Feel free to use your artistic license on that one to round accordingly.
Rested Gal, thanks for the inclusion of what must have been a horrendous nights sleep (3 different masks? Yikes!). It gave me a chance to see an Encore printout; very nice. I've got to give Respironics the nod over Resmed on the software package so far. I've been reading a lot of negatives on the Autoset software from a user friendly/performance standpoint, but I believe the Encore software presents the data to the user in a more readable fashion.
Thanks again, Ken

dsm, would you like to add another mask to your list, or does the HR get a no vote from you.

What happpens with auto leak compensator kicks and detects a different mask as a leak?
Not sure if I am making sense, but does the pressure not remain the same?
I am assuming that most machines detect leaks andd compensates to keep pressure constant.
Did I dream all this stuff?

Yes, Tomjax, all machines compensate for designed exhaust leaks, and thereby keep delivered pressure constant. That's not really germane to DSM's chart, however. You weren't dreaming. Well, actually you were, thanks to CPAP.
Recall that Resmed AutoSet machines require that a Resmed mask model be entered toward leak compensation. So one very good purpose of the chart is so that Resmed AutoSet owners (with non-Resmed masks) can very easily cross-reference leak rates toward entering a Resmed-equivalent mask model into their AutoSet. They may also decide to factor those leak rates in toward optimizing AutoSet compatibility with future mask purchases. Then there are always those who are curious about comparing designed leak rates toward CO2 washout differences. It would be nice if the manufacturers also listed total dead space somewhere on their spec sheets. I for one would love to see that comparative data on DSM's chart as well.
Thanks, DSM! Very well done! .

I think I remember seeing "dead space" listed on a couple of the scanned mask leak pages I put up on tnlc.

If I can find any deadspace data (I will be looking at RGs linked charts this evening) am happy to add it.

Have added data from RG & RG links.
Also exterpolated some of the data based on estimating the number sequence.
Any additional data (deadspace ranges etc:) pls PM me or post here.
I will eventually try to fill in all the numbers (will build a formula in xl that
will allow me to put in 3 or 4 point numbers & based on that data will calculate the curve & numbers for the other points.
