Could CMDA being phased out be why some CPAPs quit transmitting? Mine has too and I can't figurre out why.
Yes.
If so, is there a work-around?

No alternative to

Yes, there's an alternative way of
recording data: The SD card.
You can view whatever data your machine collects with OSCAR or SleepHQ

IThe signal strength bars do not mean your unit can transmit data. By the manual gray means your unit is not transmitting or is not being accepted by the cell phone signal provider. The bars lightup on AT&T(GSM) or Verizon (CDMA)cell signals. I only get Verizon signals where I live, even though signal maps show both have a strong siginal. I have had trouble withn some of my stuff since the cell phone companies have taken the 3 G systems off line in our area.
Good Luck

I dowloaded and installed OSCAR. So does that mean I need to manually move the SD cxard to a reader for the program to get the data since my machine is not transmitting?

I suspect the AirCurve 10 transmits and receives on the 3G cell phone systyem. Since they are taking the 3G cell service out in the US a lot of cell signal elecrtonics is not fully working. I have lost a good 3G cell phone signal in our area, now it is marginal and sometimes too weak for transmitting and receiving. My data still gets to the Resmed Myair. My doctor looks at the data to sign and get medicare to supply equipment. I believe if the older AirCurve 10s are 3G and it would be too expensive to update, so those involved would recomend it be replaced. There is a good 5G /4G signal in most areas now. I know my AirCurve 10 stores my data on the SD card. If the data does not get transmitted I will take my SD card to doctors appointments, I use to do that before the auto transmitting worked in my area.
Good luck
