Resmed Airsense 10 has stopped transmitting. Any Advice?

Post by griffinm7 » Sun Mar 26, 2017 6:47 am

Hi

I've been using the Resmed Airsense 10 for about 7 weeks. Until now the sleep data has been transmitted every day without any problems. For the last two nights however, the data isnt transmitting.

I've checked the online help information and can confirm that my wifi router is functioning normally and that the Airsense 10 has full wifi connection (green bars). I've tried rebooting my router and also switching the the cpap machine off and on again, but with no luck. I've also tried switching on and off airplane mode to see if that produces any results. Alas, all without success.

So I'm not sure what else to do. Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks

Use available software to see your reports.
https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment
Or look on the machine's LCD screen. It shows what the MyAir website shows.

The Airsense wireless connection is cellular (CDMA Cellular Network) not WiFi so don't bother rebooting your WiFi router. If you're really concerned about the wireless connection probably the best and only thing you can do is unplug your machine, wait for at least 15 seconds and then plug it back in. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it so much, you can get the same data from your on-screen sleep report (directly on the machine screen) or use software like SleepyHead to track your data.

the airsense 10 does NOT use wifi .... but cellular phone transmission.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Do you know if anyone is looking at your data? Have you ever been called about it? Has your doctor discussed your therapy with you?
Perhaps it was shut off from the "receiver."

I had the same thing happen. My problem was that the serial # and device # on my machine was not the same as in the account info at MyAir. Somehow it was changed, I changed it back, no problem since. Resmed also says to make sure it is not in Airplane mode.
Using weight loss, general exercise, and tongue/throat exercises I managed to get my AHI down to approx 5.
Not using a machine currently.

The cell phone transmitter on my first machine would not work. They swapped out my machine after about 30 days. The RT called me and said I had not been using my machine. I told I used it every night and had the sore on my nose to prove it. I took the machine in for them to check. The found the cellular transmitter would not work. They gave me a new machine and a different mask to use.

Wifi without a password is like leaving the cap off your gas tank.
Think about it.

Have the same problem here in the Netherlands. No data is transmitted or received by Myair as from March 25.
Local agent cannot help. Probably a problem at Myairs end?

Generally, there are only three things that would cause the Airsense to stop transmitting cellular data - you have it turned to airplane mode, the cell phone thingamagingy is loose and needs to be reinstalled or something is wrong with the computer board inside your Airsense. Since it is under warranty, once you verify you are not in airplane mode, contact your DME and tell them your machine is not working properly. In many cases with the Resmed machines, the FIRST thing to fail on a board seems to be the cell phone thingamagingy. They replace the board and all is well.

I agree with others that you should first try unplugging for 5 minutes and replugging in to see if the machine gets its brains back. If it does not transmit, then contact DME. You don't want to continue with a machine that has a fail.

I just DL My Air app and began entering the requested info but as soon as I entered the machine SN & Device # - the bars on the front went out & changed to a 'NO' symbol - i.e. the circle with a slash through it. I bought from cpap.com, have Rx, so there shouldn't be any issues there. Any ideas?

I have the same issue my ResMed Airsense 10 ELITE normaly transmits data to my PC via a Wi-Fi connection every morning but I have lost Wi-Fi connection for the last 3 days. Neither the modem or CPAP machine have moved from where they have been located since first set up over a year ago so I can't see how it would be a location issue.

How does the built-in wireless connectivity in the AirSense™ 10 and AirCurveTM 10 devices work?
