Sorry, but that is only fair.
Couldn't agree more. If things don't improve I won't be working for the RR much longer, whether they push it or not. I am asking to get an idea as to how the RR/FRA might work it, either way if I consider myself to be any kind of risk to the public or others I will take myself out of the mix without any one else forcing my hand.

Would you like to tell us the issues you are having and see if we can help you use your CPAP? What have you tried to solve the issue and what machine and pressures are you using? Is it the auto 560? The number is on the bottom of the blower. Be sure and remove the water if you turn it over.

Just got a new CPAP today from the VA. The old one was starting to have issues. For the most part I am doing ok with my CPAP and all. The VA is monitoring it closely and being proactive on it. My biggest issue comes from my work schedule. I am on call 24/7 and work all times of the day and night. Kind of hard to be consistent with that schedule. It wrecks havoc on your circadium rhythem.

What's your AHI and leak statistic?

The internet is (or can be) a wonderful place to learn and share ideas. But when it comes to a work schedule that one is gonna be between you and your employer - there may be devine intervention but I don't think you want things to go that way.

Actually I invite divine intervention.

You might want to be very specific.

Ahh,
To light up my way... For this I would thank my Lord.

My numbers have been of the past few weeks as my old machine was failing. However historically I have been averaging in the upper single digits for my AHI and no leakage to speak of, 99%-100%.

that's pretty bad.

Where do you get those numbers? I thought all machines reported leak in lpm (liters per minute). Mine does.
Coloneldad wrote:upper single digits for my AHI
You mean 8 or 9? I would feel very bad at that level. My AHI averages 1 or under. At 3 or higher, I suffer.

I think you can make some big improvements in your therapy by getting involved in the forum.

Good luck.

My machine shows it as a percentagge on the mask fit screen.

As for my AHI, I recognize it isn't good. It can vary some with the lowest generally around 3 and the upper end in the teens. However the average ranges between 7-9. It is kind of hard to have good numbers when you are on such a bad schedule.

Have you ever considered talking to HR (or whoever is appropriate) to find out if there are any other jobs you might switch to that have more consistent schedules? Companies (and possibly your RR?) often will try to accommodate good, longtime employees if there are unavoidable physical situations that change the rules - and sleep schedules.

Bad numbers have nothing at all to do with a sleep schedule my friend. You need to look at you stats with Sleepyhead and post them here if you want help tho.
