Now can you be 4/5ths indigenous? The denominator would need to be a power of two!
30% of Americans claim to have Native American ancestors. About 4% actually do.
Didn't their Native American ancestors migrate over what used to be the land bridge from Alaska to Asia? So basically they would be Native Asians. Bigfoot might be Native American, or he could a invader too. Hard to say I wasn't there, I'm old , but not that old. Jim

Some of our forebears did not speak of secrets, including mixed race blood.
Once none of the children looked "ethnic", and those harboring secrets were dead, our secrets were safe.
Except when an elderly family member loses their "filter" and blabs.
My grandmothers each shared secrets that may have died with them,
Leaving us with interesting stories to share, including murder, arson, and forbidden dalliances.

Couldn't afford the high tolls on the government-run land bridge. So, they got deep cycle marine batteries, attached their CPAPs to their umiaks and blew themselves over.

If they had water proofed CPAPs, they could have converted their canoes into jet boats! Jim

They didn't need no stink'in boats. They came across during the last Ice Age when sea levels were low enough for them to just waltz across from Asia.
According to my genetic profile from 23&Me ... I'm 43% Native American (D1 haplogroup) and 46% Southern European (E1 haplogroup). So that probably makes me one of the 4% ... and unlike the blue-eyed Pocahontas (bless her heart she means well but hangs out with the wrong crowd), I have dark brown eyes.
