maybe its time to reveal your definition of "sleep aid" instead of denying melatonin does not "aid in sleep".

According to what I've read and experienced, you should start with a dose of about 0.3mg (300mcg), not more than 1mg. I've been using it for a while now, and find that about .3mg helps me stay asleep or get back to sleep if I wake up early (which I often do). Like anything else though, it is pretty individual in whether it provides any help, or how much you need.

3 mg to a child? He should be reported to social services for child abuse. The FDA will soon be regulating the supplement industry (If Trump administration doesn't stop them.). They should pull melatonin off the market. People have been lied to, and they are trying to use melatonin as a sleep aid when they should be addressing the underlying problems.
