So, the swivel was too good for us?
Too bad. I like it.

No, it's a standard antibacterial filter, not a HEPA filter.southerndoc wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 11:05 am@Kguillotte is that a HEPA filter in-line with your hose?
This isn't over engineered enough, we need a water level sensor, and stepper motors instead, keep just a cm of water in it and replace it as it evaporates.Kguillotte wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:47 pmJust in case anyone would like to speed up the process of filling their CPAP water tank, I included a picture of my system and a drawing of how it’s assembled.
could we also add a piece that will automatically order fresh distilled water?Thellra wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 5:33 amThis isn't over engineered enough, we need a water level sensor, and stepper motors instead, keep just a cm of water in it and replace it as it evaporates.Kguillotte wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:47 pmJust in case anyone would like to speed up the process of filling their CPAP water tank, I included a picture of my system and a drawing of how it’s assembled.
What you're looking at are, specifically, Anti-Bacterial filters, referred to in the Resmed menus as "AB filter", eg: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... ap-10-packsoutherndoc wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 11:42 pmAh, that's cool. Looked like a HEPA filter we use for ventilators.
Wow!Kguillotte wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:47 pmJust in case anyone would like to speed up the process of filling their CPAP water tank, I included a picture of my system and a drawing of how it’s assembled. To fill your tank with this system, you just press the actuator button for a few seconds and your tank is filled. The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) DC motor speed controller can easily alter the speed of the pump to improve accuracy. I was going to completely automate the process… however, due to the small stature of the water tank and numerous other issues, I went with a little button. So much easier!
So… anyone can make this little machine. Everything can be purchased on EBay for a few dollars. Then… using my drawing, attach everything with electrical wire. Everything can be put in a box like I did… or, you can hot glue everything to a small board. You can do whatever you want. I purchased a few feet of 1/4 inch tubing to go from the bottle of water to the pump and then from the pump to the tank. I drilled a 1/4 hole in the tank and in the water bottle top. Easy breezy!!
