I tape as well as use a humidifier and still have dry mouth. My perfect answer was Xylimelts. Found the link on this site somewhere. Got them practically overnight from Amazon. Just needed one, not two as suggested for CPAP users.
Here is another link.

I guess what works for some does not work for all. I use the GC Dry Mouth Gel with good results. I have a hard time breathing warm air at night as I am used to a cool room. I fill the water chamber each night with ice chips to provide cool air and turn the heater completely off. By the time the ice melts I am asleep. What ever you use for dry mouth relief, make sure it is sugar free.

Good point! I'd have thought unlikely, I'm assuming that skin contact is required to obtain an adequate seal.
Would you consider trading the facial hair for a moist mouth? Bearing in mind that dry mouth can be detrimental to your teeth.
Big dilemma if you've had this look for a long time

As long as my cervical collar keeps working I think I will stay with it. I've tried all the gels and tabs that are supposed to help, but the collar still works better for me...and I've had the beard and mustache way longer than I have had sleep apnea.

hello, hannibal 2! may i suggest this, for a full bearded fellow such as myself-
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=112758&st=0&sk=t&sd ... i#p1086296
(sorry if this doesn't come through. i've never tried to link a post before.)
i can recommend the method, though. i use this plus ruby chinstrap plus soft collar and xylimelts. no problem with dry mouth for me!

I had no idea about cervical collars being tried for OSA, did a google search and it brought me straight back to a discussion on this forum back in 2011, interesting reading. I have so much to learn!

The link worked perfectly thank you, however it is grybeard77 who has the beard and may find this useful.

I assume the Nexcare Tape is to tape over your mouth to allow breathing only through nose?

You assume correctly, apparently you suck your lips in and place a strip of tape across where they were. I haven't tried yet but have some on order.

My mouth was not as dry last night. It didn't feel any drier then when I was on the S9, which was never enough to bother me. I don't know why I had the problem with the new S10.
I just updated my software so I could check everything out.
I noticed that the pressure is up, and AHI is down the last two days, 11/29 and 11/30 (that's when I went on the Air Sense 10) Is that significant? I can see I had some mask problems last night, I'll take care of that tonight.

Jeff, this is my summary graph while I use my S9 Autoset. I seldom have dry mouth because I use a chinstrap. We both have some nights with leaks above 24 L/Min. As to AHIs we have it OK.
