cpap.com said they only sell new items so the sticker most of came from the factory.

What they will probably tell you is that a previous customer had a problem within the 2 year warranty period and requested an RMA; that was granted by CPAP.COM and, rather than delay things, they shipped a replacement from their stock to the customer. Once the defective unit was received they checked it out to confirm the problem; they then returned the unit to ResMed and received a unit designated as being a Platinum RMA unit which they returned to stock. Since it was a brand new unit, they shipped it to you, the new customer. It is quite probable, the box markings comes from the manufacturer's need to maintain records for medical devices that differentiate replacement units whether new or remanufactured from normal retail products. The use of the Platinum designation is likely to further differentiate new units shipped as replacements as opposed to remanufactured ones shipped outside the warranty program. It is likely as well, that they must maintain a separate serial number log corresponding to the program and this process makes it easier to track specific units.

All guessing aside, this is my HONEST opinion:
I don't think that CPAP.com would sell any machine if it was one iota less
than NEW and fully covered by warranty, regardless of Resmed labeling on the outside of the box.
If anyone expects more, I have to wonder what is wrong with that person.

I just got my new Airsense 10 Autoset, but the box may not be a brand new one to me.
I have found 3 wired issues:
1. SD card missing, but the user guide states the machine includes SD card.
2. Very sticky SD card and adapter covers, A "label" could be glued on the cover before.
3. Document describing flight mode is on back order, wired explanation from the same seller.
The plastic film was intact on the screen.
There is 0 run hours. I have not used machine so far.
Is it possible that I got a Resmed Platinum type RMA replacement item?
Should I ask seller to exchange it for a new one or return it for refund?
The seller want to issue a RMA#, even I have not used machine so far.
And the seller told me that it takes approx 1 week for diagnostic
and can take anywhere from 3-6 wks to get a new replacement.
It depends if we have to send it to the manufacturer which will take longer.
NOTE: The #3 document issue has been solved. the instruction has been given to me via online chatting.
