Maybe the rest of it could be continued over there. That way you all don't have 2 threads to try to duke it out in and you can devote all your duking it out energy to 1 thread.

My apologies to Mist_ynight , I didn't mean to disrupt your thread/question. I did mean to spare you from the bogus information commonly dispensed by forum pest, "guest". You absolutely can use the filter I linked to for your purposes, in spite of what guest says to the contrary. Just be aware of the possibility of getting them waterlogged if the humidifier is turned up too high. Then, in that instance, they'll need time to dry out before reusing. Good luck.

Perhaps the OP will want to review the comments posted by people who bought and used these filters on the very same page you linked.

I think there is a setting for the AB Filter that kicks out more pressure, at least there is on the resmed machines.

I don't use the humidifier, I found it caused me to get a rattle on my chest. I'm a chronic mouth breather so I'm used to dry mouth.

The humidity is not for your mouth but you sinus passages. When they get dried out they can give the same "allergy" symptoms. So that is another thing you can try.

Also a dry mouth is a big dental problem. Bacteria love a dry mouth. Make sure you use Orajel for dry mouth.

I've been using it for 5 years or so without the humidity. I've got chronic sinus problems and I actually have the nasal pieces plugged so I get a seal on my nose without air going into my nose. I had a lot of difficulty finding what worked for me due to being a mouth breather and having chronic sinus problems. The place I got my mask was terrible and I had to figure out what works on my own.
