(My previous CPAP was set at 9, so good that I now have an Auto, as it looks like I needed 10.6 last night.
how's your sleepyness? ie, how do you feel?

I was tired when I first woke up, but I think it's just been a long week. I slept pretty well, and once I got up and around I feel good. I did wake up one time with air blasting up my nose like crazy for a few seconds, but then it decreased, so that's good!

the only time that a cpap "blasts" air "like crazy" is when it's trying to compensate for loss of pressure from a big leak by raising the flow rate.

note, the cpap NEVER increases pressure in response to leaks, but it does increase air flow.

I would guess my mask was off centered some, causing a leak. When I moved it a little the air flow returned to normal.

yup, that'll definitely do it!

here's something you can try to show what the machine does with airflow. put your ear against the blower, and turn it on with your mask on... then take the mask off, hear how the blower goes into overdrive? it's trying to maintain the set pressure, with nothing restricting the flow... so there's lots of air coming out, but no pressure... kinda like a garden hose, no thumb, lots of water, put your thumb over it, and there's lots less water coming out, but it goes way further (more pressure because of the restriction)
