That's a good rule in general.

what's she wrong about? the whiners ramp is turned off, pressure fixed at 10. maybe he would be happier with a ramp starting at 7 or 8, certainly not the default of 4.

I CHOSE NOT to use that particular quote, Chevie.
I think that's my call, not yours.
I did address the name of the person I was replying to so and that should be sufficient for you to follow.

Thank you for your concern.

PR I believe she's confusing ramp settings with pressure settings... if I have to explain - see her previous post, not just the last before mine.

Yes! Thanks Palerider! I tried to be clear with my explanation but she just wasn't getting it.
Anyway, thanks for the support.

well, if you're talking about viewtopic.php?f=1&t=113445&st=0&sk=t&sd ... 5#p1094741 then the only thing I see wrong is her messed up and confusing quotes.

Sylvia, you need to put
(note the slash) at the end of the thing you're quoting, otherwise, it looks a mess... you could go back and edit that post.

Julie, to me, she's clearly saying that while the whiner has his ramp turned off, he's now bitching about to much pressure at 10 and maybe having ramp turned back on, but at a higher pressure than it probably was originally (most likely it was originally 4).

You may know the difference, Sylvia, but you do not express it at all well. There are two separate settings, one for the ramp and the other for pressures.

This is what I was orig. ref'g to -

"
Sometimes I feel like I'm choking for air - Sometimes I feel like "I'm being blown away

- If your ramp is on 4 or 5, you're probably starting out with not enough air. Try setting ramp to 7.

AND I took that to mean she was suggesting (without naming it properly) increasing his low pressure setting, not changing the ramp setting, and therefore did not understand they were two different things.

Palerider; I don't know what you mean by the; viewtopic.php?... and all that garbled stuff. Is that what you see in my posting? On my end, none of shows up at all. I use an Apple computer. I figured I might be doing something wrong in my guesswork but I sure don't see that.

I went into Edit and looked. At the beginning and end of each OP complaint I chose to quote, it shows: Never mind, just go look for yourself. I think sometimes I've been clicking on the "Quote" button at the top to put it there. Is that wrong? If you want, go look to see what I did. I'm no computer geek, lol.

he doesn't have a low pressure setting.

Palerider; Better yet, I see many on here don't use the quote feature so I think I'll stop using the darned thing and address who I'm replying to by name.
Especially if it inserts all the garbled stuff, again I don't see any of that in the result.
When I click on the quote button at the top (within edit) it automatically inserts the word quote twice (inside of brackets) and the second one includes the slash mark.

using the quote feature is an advanced function that makes it much easier to tell who you're replying to, and more importantly, WHAT you're replying to.

I don't advise forgoing it's use.

your mistake in the post I mentioned was that you did this:

Code: Select all

Sometimes I feel like I'm choking for air - Sometimes I feel like "I'm being blown away

instead of this:

Code: Select all
Sometimes I feel like I'm choking for air - Sometimes I feel like "I'm being blown away
the quote pair is supposed to go around something, not both infront of and behind.

if you want to use the quote button on the edit window, then highlight something you want in quotes, and THEN hit the buttom.

Well, even if there's no low pressure setting, the setting he does have is a pressure setting. Ramp has its own settings... which would lead to his pressure setting, but it is a different feature, different setting options, etc... ramp setting options are not pressure settings.... or have I lost my mind entirely?

How would you know that ? - Please put me back on your IGNORE list

cheers.

Anger & Desperation are NOT Whining Mr Pale - check out the defin's in the Dict.

This snide, malicious and arrogant Idiot who calls himself "Palerider"
Who seems to enjoy attempting to humiliate & demean me, with his puddle shallow epithet, "Whiner"
might ask himself what he's doing here. Because if he thinks he is helping anybody he is a craven Liar.
Not only to himself - but to everybody on this Forum

It is obvious to me he is here only to BLOAT himself up at the expense of the Vulnerable, the Desperate
and Confused - I suggest he could do a better job of PUFFING himself up if he hooked his CPAP up to his
other end

If he has any Humanity at all, that extends beyond that of a thin & superficial Narcissistic floater
I would suggest he put on his best suit and look in the mirror & initiate an introduction to himself

Yes - I came here in a state of some Desperation, expressing ANGER, even RAGE at a problem that
to me at the time seemed intractable - Beyond my reach - and growing noticeably more serious every day

And yes I have received much help, guidance and encouragement from many of the members here
For that I am Grateful and Indebted - Though my problem is NOT yet solved - Not by a long shot
I am confident that if I am to find an answer, I will find it here
