Philips series 50 Pro CFlex + & series 60 series differences

Post by stephennic » Tue Aug 16, 2016 7:37 am

Hi all,
I was given a Philips pro 50 series fixed pressure CPAP and it only has about 1100 hours on it. Just wondering what the differences between that model and the 60 series. Is the only difference the heated tube?
Is it the same algorythms, noise level, features and read outs for the results. I might keep it as a back up CPAP. Any Thoughts.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
Steve

The heated hose is the main difference.
There are some minor differences though.

The 60 series is supposed to be a little less noisy but I have used both models and really couldn't tell any difference in terms of machine noise.

The algorithm or how the machine does it's job is the same in both models....that didn't change.

The 60 series machines have a short term availability of apap (auto mode)...the 50 series does not.
The 60 series machines have a silent mode so that it doesn't beep when you start it that you can turn off or on...the 50 series doesn't have it and there's no way to turn off the beep when you first start the machine.

That's about it or all I can think of at the moment.
