Not a bad idea but there is nobody who knows what they are doing running.

It seems every Republican has a story like that. How could I have lived over eight decades and never had a story like this to tell??!!??

Blinders, maybe?

you can go on youtube and search for food stamp abuse/fraud and catch up on what you have been missing.

You two are funny. YouTube links are a dime a dozen. My question was about why I have never seen this in a grocery store during my long life.

Oh right, it's because I don't go to the right grocery stores.

Granny, you are asking a question it is impossible for me to answer. Where do you live, Lake Forest?

But seriously, it sounds like because you have never seen it, it does not exist?

You really need to try to keep up. Let's go back and review:

How can I keep up when you keep talking down?

I am sticking with my comment. Your question seems to say that since you have never seen it; it is nothing but a made up story. If you have not seen it, it cannot be true.

Granny, you must have led a very sheltered life and only shop in high end stores. I'm not sure about store brands or new sedans, but I certainly have seen people in grocery stores using food stamps.

Many times they are just exchanged for other things, like drugs. Jim

But at least they hand out stamps in the US, in other countries they just give them a welfare check.

Lets go back and review?

Granny is four score and seven years (well done) ... She knows all about youtube but nothing about food stamps

There are some dense people who like to post here.

1.
Uncle_Bob wrote:But at least they hand out stamps in the US ... She knows all about youtube but nothing about food stamps
The last food stamp was given out in Nebraska in 2009. That is seven years ago. All the other states ended them sooner. The U.S. no longer has a food stamp program. It hasn't had one for years.

Now who is behind, Little Bobbie? You're such a genius with YouTube, do some research and update your lacking knowledge. Also, learn how to spell YouTube.

When and where were you last in a grocery store? Nebraska, 2009? You should get out more often. Or update your imagination.

Dense. Dense. Dense. So, I'll have to explain it to you:

Nah, that seems kind of fruitless to try to explain that to you. I don't have the whole day.
Uncle_Bob wrote:Granny is four score and seven years
The first thing you are even close on. Congratulations, but no cigar.
flightco wrote:How can I keep up when you keep talking down?
Well, if you would climb up out of that hole!

1. Nope.. never been in Nebraska. Is there something wrong with Nebraska?

2. Grocery Stores = Publix, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway, Food Fair, Scot's, e t c.

3. I like saying, "grocery store". Remember those days? Oh yes, you do.

4. Florida - 1960 to approximately 2000.

5. California (tho I believe they use coupons now).

*flightco -- the real problem is that Granny did indeed eat her Grapenuts this morning. Perhaps not the loo??

And lastly... I think that we are really talking to Gramps, not Granny. Oh pleasssse, correct me if I'm wrong.

We do that too, free medical, free housing, utilities paid of course, even transportation for medical. The people that don't get free are the ones working to pay for it. Jim

I've been in line at the food stores, paying for lunch meat and crackers to take to work, behind someone buying steaks with food stamps, had I have seen them buying soda and chips for their kids if the kids were lucky, the kids didn't get the good food for sure, it was just for their smoking and drunk friends party.

In our house the kids ate what we ate, if their was enough, if not the adults done without!
