I propose someone start a poll to see if Choker should be banned from the site and have this entire thread deleted from the site.
It's not beneficial to anyone nor does it pertain to anything relating to CPAP.
I'm after information, not shit like this
Here's a link from the forum search I just did on "politics". In various ways, it goes way back to near the beginning of the forum. The owners/providers of the forum believe in freedom of speech and are pretty lenient with allowing it. I have seen some threads locked over the years but they're a rarity.
search.php?keywords=politics
As others have said, read what you want, sort out the information from the "junk" and skip what you don't like.
It's pretty simple. You don't HAVE to read it. Virtually EVERY topic has been discussed on this forum MANY times over the years and can be found in the archives. For some, answering the same questions over and over can get to be pretty boring (when they've already been discussed) and sometimes different topics can be stimulating. In the end, we TRY to stay friendly with each other after the "silly season" is over and they get this stuff out of their systems.
As you can see, I didn't start this thread and wouldn't have. I didn't post to it until somewhere in the 8th page. But, being the opinionated SOB that I am, I don't shy away from a stimulating discussion.

But ... but I am on topic. I don't support either candidate OR either party! That's why your best bet is to vote for me.

Interesting thought, but...........any vote that's NOT for Donald Trump is a vote for Hillary Clinton.
I learned that lesson with Ross Perot.

Actually, your assertion is not true. A vote for a third party candidate is merely a vote for that candidate. It does not add or subtract a vote from Trump's or Clinton's total. Rather, it will show up in the third party candidates total or in the total for "write-in". Both D and R candidates are crap sandwiches this year, we need a reset button!

Now Den, you haven't been messing around with that new fangled common core math have you?
I've heard that stuff will mess you up good. Stay away from it my friend.
Idaho is absolutely right! Until the People allow themselves to be de-programmed that they can only vote either DEM or GOP .... the sh*t will continue to get higher until the fan comes blowing into town and then EVERYBODY will be in one stink'in mess.
So vote for me and get yourself on the top of the list for viceroy assignments now.

No, it IS true. A 3rd party (or 4th party) candidate will NOT "win", but will take more votes away from Trump. And, the next president will get to appoint the next Supreme Court justices. Won't be a 3rd or 4th party candidate. Trump IS the "reset button" many of us have been looking for for some decades. The crony politics has gotten this country into a serious mess. The national debt has at least doubled in the last 8 years and Trump had NOTHING to do with that. The TEA Party tried to start the "reset" process. In 2010 the Republicans told us they needed a majority in the House to bring about some changes and to push back. So, they got that and then when nothing happened, so they told us they needed the Senate and THEN things would change......so, they got that and again nothing happened. There were 17 Republican candidates in the primaries and the choice came down to ONE. Then, the "establishment" tried their best to derail him. He's been trying to bring together all of the "factions" that the Republican party had dreamed of trying to get under the "big tent" for many years. Now, they're STILL fighting him and doing their damnedest to destroy the party altogether so they can blame him.
Don't forget Bernie, either. He was an alternative (although a phony one) for the Dems. He got lots of votes from the disaffected Dems who were looking for an alternative. His situation was rigged from the beginning. But, he's gotten his "payoff" (?) now.

What's it going to cost me in the way of campaign contributions?
I mean, most politicians hand out things like ambassadorships for some pretty hefty donations.
So, what's your party called and what's your "platform"?

Trump cannot be trusted to do what he says. Multiple times he has said one thing and switched. His word means nothing at this point. He has the debating skill of a fifth grader, assuming one puts emphasis on name calling rather than actual substance. I can't see any reason to vote for him. Trump will soon be the answer to a trivia question, "which presidential candidate received the lowest electoral vote in US history?". Goodness, Trump is gonna make Ted Mondale and George McGovern look like rockstars!

Voting for a 3rd party candidate may make you "feel good" about not voting for the other scumbags, but in reality, if one of the others (HRC) gets into office, you won't feel so good and will suffer horribly for the next 4 - 8 years.

Yes, but Trump hasn't DONE ANYTHING in politics before, so he couldn't DO anything that would cost American lives. If he did only a small portion of what he SAYS, the US is in big trouble. If you count what he's done in business, he's claimed a LOT of bankruptcies which has shorted a lot of people a lot of money and probably ruined a lot of lives. That should count if you're comparing the two.

The policies of the current administration have put MANY businesses OUT OF BUSINESS or into bankruptcies. They have ruined lots of peoples' lives. There are 90-some million people out of work in this country and they're trying to let in more illegal aliens to do cheap work (?).
If you truly like devastating policies, vote for HER. It'll guarantee the ruination of this country. (which is teetering on the brink right now)

"However, the original Seven Days report included information on how the Sanders' afforded the summer home. O'Meara Sanders said that she had inherited a vacation home in Maine, but the family was unable to make use of it due to its distance from their primary residence in Vermont, so she sold it and used the proceeds to finance the purchase of a more suitable vacation home...
“My family had a lake home in Maine since 1900, but we hadn’t had the time to go there in recent years — especially since my parents passed away,” she said. “We finally let go of it and that enabled us to buy a place in the islands — something I’ve always hoped for.”
Maybe it's true... maybe not. Only the Sanders know for sure.
