Well folks,

I got to the provider today, and the Respiratory Threapist looked at the settings on the old machine (Respironics System One SV unit) and configured the AirCurve 10 ASV with the same settings:

EPAP Min 10 (from 9)
EPAP Max 15 (from 9)

Min PS is 0
Max PS is 15

The mode is ASVAuto (still)

It this likely to be less hell on my sinuses or air in my stomach?

Yours is a case in which you can tell the difference in a negative way between the ResMed and Respironics algorithms.
With success with the PR 950, you will find the PR 960 better feeling and very comfortable. I would go back to the DME and switch out the unit for the 960. At this stage of the game, its still likely in "rental" mode.

That's why I always recommend sticking with the same manufacturer when getting a new machine unless the old one was not satisfactory.
