If it wasn't stolen, at $250 it is NOW stolen.

You should sell it for $1500 and buy yourself an APAP for $350.
Ha! Well, I don't think these things are as easy to sell as they seem. This guy had his s9 vpap listed for over a month and I was the first inquiry. Maybe he would have done better on Ebay.
ebay cancels listings for machines, though some do slip through.
you really ought to change your nick to 'bandit', cuz you made out like one

I've got a machine just like it, and can answer any question you have. don't let it intimidate you, remember,
it works for you, not the other way around
set it up like Pugsy said,
mode: Vauto
maxipap: 15
minepap: 6
Pressure support (PS): 4
leave the rest of the many settings alone...
if you don't have the clinical manual for it, pop over to apneaboard.com, there's a link at the top to request the manual. you want the one for the resmed S9 VPAP Auto+ST+S_Combined

Thanks again for the advice everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update:
First night was a total disaster, used it for 4 hours, woke up in the middle of the night and tore the mask off lol. I guess that's to be expected in the beginning. Second night i only used it for 5 hours, but it was much better. I made it through the whole night (I went to bed at 1am and had to be up at 6am). Tonight I'm hoping to get to bed at a normal hour and get a full rest.
So, I haven't had time to go to Best Buy and pick up an sd card reader, but will later today. I read some of the data on the machine from the info menu, and this is what I found:
First night: AHI 5, central apneas 3
Second night: AHI 7, central 5
Any thoughts so far?

Would need a lot more info to comment on those 2 numbers... but another thing - are you sure there isn't a card already in the slot at the back? Just thought I'd mention it... sometimes it gets overlooked.

Hi Julie! It does have a card in it already, but I don't have a card reader. I'll pick one up tonight for sure!
Also, the S9 came with the Quattro FX mask - I'm not really a fan of the full face. I was thinking about getting the Remed Airfit p10. Or should I stick with the full face until I get a little further along in the process?

Most computers have a slot to insert/read an SD card from the S9...you may not need a card reader.

Unfortunately my mac doesn't have an sd card slot. But Best Buy has readers for under $10 and luckily they're right up the road!

By the way, I was using a sleep app on my phone to record my snoring and see how bad it was. My snoring has been described as "able to raise the roof" lol. I had an emotional moment when the morning after using the S9 I opened the snore app, and the graph looked like a flat line, lol. No snoring at all.

Full face masks are not a matter of 'choice', style, etc, but necessity if you mouth breathe when asleep and lose the Cpap air to the breeze... so you'll have to ascertain if that fits you once you have Sleepyhead going, or someone who routinely sees you asleep (beyond the first few minutes) and tells you if your mouth stays closed - it's more likely to open if you're a back sleeper though.
