Update!

I was misinformed about my cpap, apparently the settings I'm on are more akin to ventilation. Highly customised settings that aren't typical cpap behaviour. So a portable machine is out of the question, as they are all apparently preset settings only. And portable non-invasive ventilators aren't really a thing yet, that don't require oxygen tanks anyhow.

Plan is still on though, so had a chat with my clinical specialist and she's recommended the Swift FX. Which looks very nice, and from threads here it seems to be a nice light fit. Have also been sent a nice backpack for my Nippy 3+ and I'm due for an electric wheelchair reassessment.

So things are moving along!

The Swift FX is a very good choice. I have been using one for 5 years and will replace it with another one when it wears out.

Rustafar... your attitude is one of the best I've seen around here for a long time, especially considering what life's thrown at you. No whining or bitching, just weighing all the possibilities and moving forward. You can be proud of yourself. A new wheelchair can give you more mobility and that must be exciting. Please keep us updated as you make progress with the ventilator... I bet if you work on it you can get outside one day soon.

I have no idea what a Nippy 3+ is.
However many folks here have hooked up battery packs to PRS1 PAP machines. A 960 is a non invasive ventilator, sort of.
You might fit a 960 a battery pack and your favorite portable O2 concentrator into a back pack. You may have to mount it all on the wheel chair so you don't have to carry it around. The extra weight may overcome your freedom of movement.

My Swift FX mask came and it fits wonderfully. Better seal, easier to put on by myself and it doesn't fidget around as much when I'm sitting in my wheelchair with my head in the headrest. Backpack arrived too and fits nicely to the back of the chair. And I'm next on the list for a wheelchair assessment, the last piece of the puzzle. Have been sitting up in my manual chair with the mask on for an hour daily to get my tolerance up, so hopefully it'll be easier when the electric chair is all set.

Fortunately the Nippy comes with a four hour battery built in. Also have a spare battery for longer occasions so can go for 8 hours total

Thanks for the update. Hope things move along for you in the right direction. I use the Swift FX nano and am very please with it.
