Time to change doctors?

I just had a new sleep study done, because my wife was telling me I was or breathing. I bumped my pressure up to 16 and she said it worked better. Then when I had the sleep study done the tech said I should try using a new mask, the Resmed P10 in lieu of my Opus 360.
The mask was nice, and my pressure was listed at 14. Do you think my insurance will give me a new mask if the doctor writes an Rx specifically for that model, even though I just received a new mask a few weeks ago?
I told the tech my ENT never reads my results. I know this device has cellular. They recommend a pulmonary specialist who they say he checks his patients all the time. How do they do that? Do I give them the serial number?

Depends on your insurance...Have you thought of picking up the phone and calling them? Most doctors never read results unless you call them with a problem.....even then...most don't understand what they see.

As mentioned, contact your insurance company about the
mask. Otherwise, buy it online. I would at least take the guy's number and consider contacting him if you do not have improvement or if you have other health issues that are impacted by your sleep apnea.

the doctor question is easy. anytime you lose confidence in or don't trust any doctor, replace him. you owe nobody a reason for your decisions. find a new doc, fill out the form so the new doc can request your records and never look back.
