Just start in the middle range for humidity. Exciting stuff... so glad to see you're jazzed!!! Let us know how it goes... along those lines:

Here, in order, are the three excellent links that graphically show you how to get the correctly sized Sleepyhead images to show up in your CPAPtalk post:

Don’t worry if you blow it the first time… most of us did!

Thanks a bunch Sir! I'll be sure to check in tomorrow. The wife is out of town so me thinks I'm going to bed early tonight!

Humidity level is a personal preference. I have mine set to 2. (not that it matters to what you would like). Some people use "passover" humidity, meaning put water in the tub, but do not turn on the humidity function. I would try 2 or 3 and see how you do.

somewhere in the middle, fiddle with it at will to see what suits your nose best. best settings may change with the weather, too. certainly the amount of water used will vary with the weather.

First night in the books and feel it was successful. I don't necessarily feel rested but also don't feel terrible. A quick glance at the Sleepyhead data shows pretty good results across the board to a novice. I'll take some time this evening to upload the screenshots here for confirmation.

For those interested in the data, here is what I ended up with for my first night. As noted, I'm very much a novice but it looks like it went well! As the evening starts to run on, I am feeling tired but I can say that I noticed a little more daytime energy today.

I wanted to take a moment to offer an update as well as some thanks.

Thanks to everyone that commented on my OP and for all the tips and suggestions that can be found throughout these forums. They were certainly invaluable to me as I began this process.

I feel quite fortunate as I have taken to the therapy quickly and successfully. After 20 days of therapy, sleepyhead is telling me I have an AHI of 1.13. My leak rate also looks good and I think I've got the humidity level dialed in for maximum comfort.

I am still experiencing some sleepiness throughout the day but I am confident that I'll pay off that sleep debt and get back to enjoying life.

Thanks again!
