You did your screenshots good. Now we'll see how the increased minimum pressure works for you. When you make a change it's a good idea to evaluate it for a few days before making other changes because we all have good and bad nights of sleep and we want to look at trends.

Good day OkyDoky, noted on your advice. This is my last night reading. i never had such higher min pressure, and perhaps i need some time to get use to it.
When i started using the CPAP last night, i accidentally unplug the machine but was connected back in a short while. (guess i am too nervous over the new min pressure. LOL)
Here it go...

How do you feel you slept last night? And how do you feel today?
I would keep it the same for a couple more days. You will probably need a little higher minimum yet for the obstructives. But lets see if some of the clear airway are false and if they get less as you get use to sleeping at this pressure. Sometimes restless sleep can give false events especially if you are anxious and holding your breath while tossing and turning.

if you look carefully at the chart, you'll see that the min pressure had no effect at all last night, since you were above the min pressure the whole night.
nothing to worry about

There's was a slight bit of noise when breathing after increasing the min pressure that i notice. Just really a slight bit.
I feel as good today as well. Well, I'm just 4 hours after waking up. so i will see if the rest of the day is fine.
Yeah, perhaps will take a few day to observe the trend. I will keep posting my daily reading if you don't mind.

Yeah, i realise that 95% was at 13.26. Hmmm,... does that mean that I need that for the whole night too?

not at all.. the 95% is more of a 'reasonable maximum', it's like in the olympics where they throw out the highest and lowest judges scores. in this case, it means you were at or below 13.26 for 95% of the night.

Good day OkyDoky! Here's another reading from last night (Day 2 for Min 9/ Max 20 pressure).
Today i feel much better than yesterday. Do you think i should increase my minimum pressure?
Or is maximum pressure of 20 OK? Kindly advise. Thank you very much!

Look at your median pressure which is above 11 so yes I would increase the minimum to 10 and see how that works. The increased pressure will not decrease the clear airways but may help prevent the obstructives. The tighter we get on the pressure range may help the CA's due to less swings which may disturb your sleep. We just have to try and see.

Hi OkyDoky, apology for the delay as i was travelling for work. I have screenshot 3 readings after adjusting to a min pressure of 10 and keeping max pressure at 20.
The latest one was the one with AHI 9. Does a nose blockage (only one side) affect the AHI also?
Please help. Thank you so much!!

Interesting, especially by the last one, your CA's are what's causing most of your AHI. Are you using ramp at all? I wonder if you might be someone that could benefit from ramp, especially since you clearly need the higher pressures, and your CA's seem to be clustered toward the beginning of the night. I'll be curious what other people have to say, since this is far from my expertise.

I know it's hard when changes you make show no improvement or mixed results, but hang in there, things will get better. I may get CLOBBERED for putting this out there from more experienced board members or from "not so kind soul." But here goes.......When I first started treatment, I had the same problem: Raised the pressure and my OA's went down but the CA's went WAY up. I was overbreathing/hyperventilating. When I/body adjusted to the pressure, I stopped overbreathing and the massive CA's went away. I noticed your InspirTime is longer than your ExpirTime: It is what got me to thinking MAYBE your doing the same thing as I, overbreathing. I don't have a solution, for me it just took time. I put this out there in hopes that it will jar those on this board with much more experience than I have to respond, if for no other reason than to CLOBBER me .
I am sure you will be getting some more help soon.....

Yes, i do use ramp at 30 mins. Not sure if i should shorten it to 15 mins or so?
Strange enough from the reading of my last night sleep. It went down to about 3.
And that's the first time i am using Climateline Hose with humidifier. Does that really affect the AHI too?
Most of the time, i live in Singapore and thats why i don't use the humidifier. But because i am now in Germany for work (2 weeks), i brought my humidifier and Climateline hose with me too. It was cold and dry in my room last night so i thought to give the humidifier a try.
Indeed, when it show no improvement or mixed result, i do feel confused and less motivated and sometimes helpless. But i do feel that it will take some time to 'fine tune' the setting...
