Just a note that you can check to see if the machine was new or not. Go into the clinical menu and on the info screen it will show machine hours.
• Machine hours - This screen displays the amount of time that the machine has been active over the life of the device.
Note: Therapy hours and blower hours can be reset for new patients. Machine hours are not erased
If it has more hours on it than you have used it, then it was a used machine.

Thanks OkyDoky, it has 839 blower hours which comes to almost 105 nights at 8 hours per night. So it probably had close to 800 when I got it. I wasn't really expecting a brand new shiny machine when DME suppliers are trying to make and save a buck anywhere they can, so it's not surprising. At least it's data capable, has nice features and doesn't smell like smoke I guess.

If your insurance paid for it. I would expect a new machine and I bet insurance would also. I would let my insurance company know this when I called.

Insurance covered it and I did get a very hefty discount...if I had to pay a lot out of pocket I'd be pretty upset for sure. I'll call my insurance tomorrow to let them know the machine I got is used and inform them of its mileage and see what they say.
