Also, keep in mind that YOU are not their customer........the DMEs are.
They (manufacturer) don't give a rip about YOU monitoring YOUR data.

I prefer to have my time set intentionally wrong.

Why? Because I am a severe night owl. Most nights, I sleep past noon, and having the time set correctly would result in split sessions when viewing my data. It works much better for me to set my machine so that it believes that noon happens at 3pm (or 4pm) depending on the time of year. I know how far it is off, so I can easily take that into consideration when looking at a specific event in the data.

I would be very upset if I were forced to have split sessions in my data.

Thank you so much for posting this information. I sleep until around 11:00 or 12:00 everyday. When I wake up, my Sleep Report on my machine would say I had only been sleeping for 10 minutes or 30 minutes. It was so frustrating. I called Resmed and my provider. They were no help. This place is the best. I am so happy I found it. I also found the manual for my machine that showed me how to set the time. I stumbled on it by accident on another thread. My time on my machine was off by over an hour. It is fixed now. I am a stickler for accuracy.

Thanks again.

I work alternating day shifts and night shifts and sleep all times of the day and night. I've never had a split session when I work it continuously. Only if I took a nap here, got up for a bit, then went back to bed later.

I'd prefer a clock w/alarm, as long as it was selectable.
Cheers,

Your machine may handle it differently. I have also not tested this in sleepyhead as I prefer ResScan. The Resmed S9 changes days at noon. If the time were set correctly,, and I slept past noon (which I do almost every day), then the data comes up as a split session. It will also give incorrect info on the screen. I like to get up, push the button, and see my total sleep time and ahi. Not the last half hour to 2 hours of my sleep, but the whole night. Changing the time on the machine solved this problem for me.
