Can't a person view their data by reading it off the SD Card using their computer (and appropriate software) ?

To do this daily or even weekly, that's a PITA and a lot of wear and tear on the connectors and card. I would have thought that they'd have built WiFi in being such a newer model. As I understand it, you can set it up to report to a server via cell network and have them email your report to you but I'm not keen on the big brother side of that so I'd probably set it to airplane mode. Also, is there no associated cell provider cost ? How does that work ?

What would be the next best machine that does have WiFi ?

I'm located near Toronto, Canada. Are there any localized forums where I can deal with people in my area in regard to supplies ?

Personally, I wouldn't want any of that stuff. I spent most of my working life with computers and "technology" and have had my fill of it. It changes too often and becomes obsolete in a heartbeat......and it can keep your bank account perpetually empty.

I don't like it as well but my guess is that they collect data for their own research. Hopefully it doesn't go beyond them although we're in the age where everyone is so willing to trade their valuable personal information for goods or services ("trinkets" IMHO), so companies have come to unquestionably expect it from you, i.e. "Let us access your CPAP machine records and we'll e-mail you the results". No thanks... I'll use mine in airplane mode.
