Hi Love2quilt and welcome to the group.
Please ignore this bashing that is going on right now. Every so often we get another "troll" that inserts themselves into threads then goes off on a tangent with the idea of wrecking the place........ n2it is no different, he will go away soon enough and we will get back to the job of helping others with their therapy.

By the way I too am a quilter, I belong to a quilt group and we work on one another's quilt once a week by hand quilting.......... most enjoyable.

Yes, Nan, quilting is my "therapy" at home - not sure why - I mean, cutting up perfectly good fabric and sewing it back together again??? Haha! I used to hand quilt, but managed to get tendinitis in my thumb joint after using trekking poles incorrectly while hiking, so I do every stitch possible on my machines now. My outdoor therapy is Yosemite - can't get enough of that place!

I don't get scared off of forums easily....unique people everywhere! Plus, I've been an RN for 26 years - not much surprises me when it comes to people and their behavior.

To those of you that offered assistance when I first subscribed to this board; a heartfelt thank you! To those of you that have been sending PM's concerning these same backwards thinkers; my thank you for your comments and support as well. As to the IP addresses; I am forwarding those to the owners of the board with exact quotes of those of you that have berated new users and have offered/suggested what can only be construed as horrendous medical advice and attempting to "practice medicine without a license". Yes, that is a felony in every state (not to say that you will ever be charged even though I believe that some of you should). It will be up to the owners to decide what they want to do with you.

But once they read the letter from my legal staff, I'm fairly certain that your IP's will be blocked permanently. Why you wonder? Because once CPAP.com is placed on "legal notice" they become what is known as "vicariously liable" for your actions. And the fine print won't protect them in most courts of law. Now, I realize that you folks with an IQ of less than 70 do not know what that means. So, you might want to Google the term.

Expect you legal staff to laugh their heads off when you explain that because people helped you with suggestions you now want them to be charged with what isn't illegal.

My last post will be a copy of that certified letter to CPAP.com. It will be posted sometime in the coming week (when my staff gets to it). I'll even include a copy of the certified card demanding hand-service with a return notice. Should be interesting...

This confuses me, as I have seen Him in a vision, and only feel love, and humility, and awe.

How many people actually live the way Jesus taught? I don't know any. I do know some religious people. It was the religious people that killed Jesus. It is a sad thing.

Some "curiosities"........

I have spine surgery scheduled, which involves a bone graft, plates, and screws.

What has happened here is that through the utilization of critical thinking skills (which I taught for more than a decade at the college level) and a little psychology, I have led the board bullies into self identifying themselves for all to see. This was simply and utterly a text book example of identifying a personality trait (disorder) of which I am making a copy of because at some point down the road, I will teach at the college/university level once again (when I finally retire). And what a teaching moment this will be!

Your assertions that we are violating some laws or are "vicariously liable" are grossly inaccurate.
As has been previously stated, nobody is "attempting to practice medicine" or giving "medical advice". PERIOD!!!
What "actions" are we liable for?
"Liability" implies that someone has been harmed or injured. There is no evidence that ANYBODY has been "injured" or "harmed". Actually, quite the opposite. We have helped literally thousands of people with their therapy........including those who have been poorly treated by their medical professionals.......doctors, DMEs, etc. There have been numerous cases (within these forum pages) of poorly or improperly configured machines being given out to users. It happens every day.
Also, to be categorized in that term, we would have to have a relationship or affiliation with the owners of this forum.
None of us have that relationship or affiliation. We don't work for or are related to or take orders from the owners.

I seriously doubt alot of things about the claims made by "n2it".
But, if there IS a "legal staff", they're going to laugh their collective asses off.

I should point out, too, that there have been numerous doctors, lawyers, DMEs and RTs who have been and are members of the forum and NONE of them has ever made an issue out of our helping XPAP users. Nobody has ever said what we're doing is illegal.

A few years ago there was a member here, EricinNC, who ranted and raved and threatened lawsuits against Resmed and I don't know who all. He made a particularly uncalled for diatribe against me, so I sent a PM to Carolyn Goodman bringing his posts to her attention. Pow! He was gone in a matter of hours, banned forever from this forum. If you don't want to be THE ONE who gets banned I suggest you retract all threats of law suits and tone down your rhetoric. Fortunately, none of us has to call Carolyn's attention to your posts since you've promised to make sure she and John are made well aware of your existence.

Back in 1976 to 1980 I owned a small printing business in Idaho. The customers who I had to be the most wary of were the ones who wore their Christianity on their chest for all to see! One customer in his first few minutes of conversation said, "I'm a Christian and so I expect you to deal with me from that perspective," or something of the sort. I lost more money on him than any other customer, period.

I'm a Christian, and I can tell you we as a Christian community have seriously dropped the ball when it comes to demonstrating Christ's compassion to those with whom we disagree (especially on moral issues), the less fortunate, the societal rejects, and our enemies. Sadly, the tone of your writing conveys the attitude of devout Christians who wash their hands of the LGBT crowd, the drug crowd, and the abortion provider crowd and believe we have the right to impose our values on them. That is not WWJD!

Can you leave your veiled politics out of it? It is a pretty safe bet we are split about 50/50 here since apnea doesn't seep to pick sides. There are millions of sites where you can argue your particular brand of politics. We could get into it but there would be nothing gained (other than boring some and entertaining others).
