Where did you find documentation that ResMed has changed how they do the ramp?
It's not in the manual..I just looked.
So for Respironics users....if you use the ramp feature the machine will respond during the ramp time if it thinks it needs to but ResMed users I don't think it will or can respond. Everything in the past has said that the machine doesn't/can't do anything until ramp time has ended and I can't find anything at ResMed or in the manual that says otherwise.
Resmed Airsense 10 auto sets have an auto-ramp mode which will suspend the ramp and respond to event during the duration of the ramp. You may want to confirm it in Airsense 10 manual.

I would love to confirm it but there is no mention in the clinical manual that I have or I have missed it again after reading it 4 times now. How about a hint as to which page you are seeing that information?

www DOT resmed DOT com/us/en/consumer/products/devices/airsense-10-autoset DOT html
It talks about auto ramp with sleep onset detection.

Okay, so I go there and see the guides...and all it talks about that I can find is the same thing I saw in the clinical manual...it talks about in auto ramp mode when it detects sleep onset it will go to full pressure but what if someone isn't using auto ramp because they don't like it for whatever reason?
So in ramp if using "auto ramp" mode it is supposed to sense when you fall asleep and then increase to full pressure so by default it should treat any apnea events because it knows you are asleep and have already stopped the ramp process. This is of course assuming that the machine is correct in assuming one has fallen asleep.
I still see nothing that says that during ramp the machine will respond to apnea events and once over go back to ramp if there is time left for ramping.
If someone doesn't use "auto" ramp mode I don't see a response.
And the response that is seen in auto ramp mode is to sleep onset and not apnea event...but of course we assume that we don't have apnea events without having sleep onset first.
