Thanks palerider. Thats what I thought.

Do you or anyone using either EPR or BiPAP not feel the stop n go kind of feeling - gush of air rushing through into your lungs till they hit an almost abrupt stop light with a little punch at the tail end.

In my case, seems like, minus the aeophagia (I hope not) I may not need either (EPR or BiPap) since I am able to otherwise tolerate the pressure range without wake ups or other side effects.

if you look at your insp time strip chart, you'll see that you're up at 2 seconds a lot of the time. the setting that controls how long it stays at the inhale pressure is TIMax. the default is 2 (seconds).

I had run into the same thing, and I bumped mine up to 3, for those times when I wanted to take longer slower deeper breaths, without the machine dropping the pressure on me.

I suggest you try a higher TIMax setting

Well actually, the problem for me is not that (pressure dropping before completion of inspiration)

The problem for me is the gushing pressure. How to explain...
Something similar to the feel you have when scrolling on your smartphone where it rebounds when you hit the end of the page or
how it feels when you are driving your car and stop it suddenly and you then lean forward due to inertia.
I feel like the the air is rushing and coming in hard (knocking over) at my lung parts.

Are you saying this may be fixed with a higher Timax?

thanks!

uh... doesn't sound like anything possible. but, if you look at the inspiration time chart, and the summary, you'll see you're spending a LOT of time at 2seconds, and that's where it cuts off. so, why don't you try it?
