Am I the only one that thought the OP was going to say it was the best sleep they've had in ages?
LOL!!

That was my story 5 years ago. I was so wretchedly tired one night I forgot to put on my CPAP.

I woke the next day rested, refreshed, on-time......

I once fell asleep not only with the machine not on, but with no hose connected, either. I have also had the mask on with no hose connected and turned on the machine. I knew instantly something wasn't right.

I love the AUTO-ON setting.
One less thing for my old brain to let go of.

A couple years I did something similar but maybe worse; I had my mouth taped up and fell asleep without my CPAP turned on (must have really been tired). Woke up in the morning (that is the important part, I woke up) and went to turn my machine off and pressed the button and it came on. I was none the worse for wear but my wife did say I was making weird noises, probably snoring in my mask.

I am not sure how it works but I think the makers have this aspect covered. Haven't made the mistake again
