I like how, at 4:54 in the the video, they show a beautiful pan shot of the 'device'... and you can see in one grill and right out through the nose hole in the back.

it's an empty shell that they're showing... that's all there is. (especially since R&D doesn't start till next month, maybe.)

A number of people were pointing that out on on the facebook page up until a few days ago but airing finally figured out how to delete posts/users in the last day. For so many reasons (I'm an engineer) this is a scam. Most crowdfunding sites require a working prototype for hardware projects... Indiegogo being one of the few that don't and I don't think this was a coincidence.

The testing that we have done...
How can they test it if there is no prototype? I also am confused whether this will be a single use item of if it will last as long as other nasal pillows. How small are those micro pumps they want to stack like blocks? The pillow part seems okay though. It's like a cross between the P10 and Nasal Aire.

I really want this to work. 50 years ago we had to autoclave syringes for insulin use. Now we have the option of a pump! I didn't understand how that could possibly work at first either

It just occurred to me that some of the younger people might not know what an Iron lung is

Single use device.
How small are those micro pumps they want to stack like blocks?
Small enough to stack 100's of them in the small space available in the prototype shell. Oh, and did I mention they only exist in an animation? Airing couldn't even produce a single MEM's micropump to blow out a candle when challenged.
I really want this to work.
And that is at the heart of most scams. Hope something will work. People buying into the dream and trying to convince other's of the dream. I predict this will be quite the scandal. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for something like this to work... but the founder Stephen Marsh has never brought anything to market and in fact was sued

Wow, okay thanks! I assumed those micropumps at least existed. No worries about me investing. I might be a buyer if the product ever became available but I'm not a financial speculator.

I'm sure they'd be happy to sell you a slick looking empty box to shove up your nose for 3$

I wouldn't buy an empty box.

Maybe get some slick actors to endorse it. Too bad it's not a real product, I w a need to adapt it to my tires to keep them inflated. After all they already know when they need it, I just don't like having to air them. Jim

watching (like one watches a train wreck, like one does..) the https://vimeo.com/130715319 video,

"when you see a problem, (I don't have your money) my brain starts thinking about how i could put these things together, these processes together to solve that problem"... aaaaaaand there we have it.

and the "commercial" where the guy's talking about using the nose ornament every night... WHEN IT DOESN'T EXIST YET... *eyeroll*

A light bulb just went off, cast a couple of small bladders into new tires, that would pump air pressure into the tires as you drove, then vent off the excess if needed. The weight of the car would provide the pumping energy, the venting could be built into the valve stem, monitored by the air system now in place in many cars.

I have came up with a few job related things, I invented that a few years later, we're put on the market.

One was a was to bleed a new master brake cylinder, I took old brake lines cut them off and hooked rubber hoses to them and ran the pumped fluid back into the Reservoir, elevating waste and mess.

The other one was recycling R-12 refrigerant, I would take a used empty R-12 tank, put in in cold water, use the vehicles pump to push the R-12 into the storage tank to condense back to liquid R-12 for reuse. (I only did this to vehicles that had clean and dry R-12) Five years later, the indrusty started recycling refrigerants.

Missed Opportunities! ¿¿¿

Maybe it will work. How about lets give it some time and a chance. CPAP ain't all that for some of us.

Noctuary,

I can't take issue with anything you have said as someone who has not succeeded with pap therapy. At the same time, I know from personal experience that desperation can cause me to do unwise things when skepticism is warranted as it definitely appears to be the case in this situation.
