I am a "newbie" and I found extremely useful as I am trying to educate myself. Yes, as somebody already mentioned, my doctor was supposed to provide this information during the consultation but:
1. He provided only 20-30% of what is covered in the presentation
2. It was not as clearly presented
3. Because of the overload of information, I didn't absorb everything he said. Having the presentation allows me to study it and come back for reference.
As long as information is correct (and I rely on more knowledgeable members to judge it), more information is always better than no information.
TeburnsIII, Thank you very much for posting it and a sincere gratitude to dr. Anita Bhola for sharing her knowledge.
Ted you blew it ... Semyon has been here since 2006 he/she is not a newbie. Tell me how did you hack into his/her account, is it that easy???????????

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that.

suggest you check the definition:
par·a·noid ˈperəˌnoid/
adjective: paranoid
1.
of, characterized by, or suffering from the mental condition of paranoia.
"paranoid schizophrenia"
par·a·noi·a ˌperəˈnoiə/
noun: paranoia
a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance, typically elaborated into an organized system. It may be an aspect of chronic personality disorder, of drug abuse, or of a serious condition such as schizophrenia in which the person loses touch with reality.
synonyms: persecution complex, delusions, obsession, psychosis
"her husband had concocted a cruel scheme to inflict her with paranoia"
suspicion and mistrust of people or their actions without evidence or justification.
"the global paranoia about hackers and viruses"’
then, take a long look in the mirror.

You are a bit 'paranoid' as to the motives or conduct of people who post. Try to be a bit less cynical and more of a 'positive' nature. It will do you 'agood', and try coupling it with at least 5 ECT sessions, PR!

that word doesn't mean what you seem to think it means... perhaps you should try reading the definition.

Nobody hacked into my account . I did register in 2006 but unfortunately I didn't progress very far in using the CPAP machine because of significant leaks. Eventually, I gave up and stopped using machine at all.
Several weeks ago, I decided to start using CPAP again and educate myself as much as possible. The same as age does not always guarantee wisdom, "date of registration" does not ensure knowledge and understanding of the sleep apnea

I deserve an apology. But I doubt it forthcoming.
I've decided to limit my participation on this forum greatly. I'm fed up with all the 'creeps' who crawl around here. No longer need this place, just
thought that I'd try to make a positive contribution now that my own therapy has been optimized.
Will now take inactive role. I'm no masochist. The nasty underlying tenor of this place I don't need in my daily routine.
Goodbye.

you're not paranoid, frank, we ARE out to get you
the sad thing is that it's possible that there's a chance that you could be a useful contributor,
if you'd spend a lot more time learning, and a lot less time overestimating what you know, and then arguing from your ignorance.... and being insufferably ugly to EVERYONE that didn't lick your boots.
you really ARE the reincarnation of major frank burns, with all his shortcomings, though hopefully you've not killed anybody on the table with your incompetence.
you just keep on lying about being OUT of here... of course, now that you've worn out your welcome on apneaboard, where are you going to go to dazzle people with your brilliance?
btw, that underlying tenor that you find so uncomfortable is knowledgeable people correcting bullshit when we see it. look up Dunning-Kruger, you're NOT the one underestimating his abilities, though.

From a scientific point of view, testing the above with other postings made by you saying the same things in the past shows this will not be true.
