Me Switch? NEVER!

Jack, if you're directing this question to me, NO, I'm not considering a switch.
For two reasons:
1) Despite ResMed's business practices that are annoying to many, I respect their scientific integrity by not only listing on their web-site a comprehensive array of scientific articles that evaluate their technology, but also including links that easily allow the reader to review the actual articles for themselves. This means the world to me; and,
2) There are lots of features to the S8 AutoSet Vantage that I enjoy. It appears that I may be in a small group that is sensitive to pressure increases, and perhaps to pressure changes. I tried a CPAP trial last night at a lower pressure than I would normally, and achieved a GREAT result, which I'm thrilled about. Should it turn out that an APAP trial may be in order down the road though, I now know to limit the upper pressure that my S8 will extend to, and I'm very skeptical about the usefulness FOR ME of a "testing" algorithm such as Respironics employs, that is CONSTANTLY changing pressure throughout the night to "probe" for improvements/degradations. And, I'm aware of runaway pressure excursions that have plagued some Respironics users and I'd be frightened of this given my apparent sensitivity to increased pressures.
So for now, its S8 AutoSet Vantage for me!
