it's ok, quite understandable given that you've received your 'new' stove that nobody could figure out how to operate, AND discovering that it's part stove, part erector set...
I noticed you can get induction modules for it!

Every meal, they gave me too many, make that WAY too many carbohydrates.
Luckily, my hungry bullfrog was with me, and was more than willing to destroy the evidence.
I informed them of what food I did not eat, so they would not ASSume I was playing their silly game.
I marked my refusal on the food list on the card.
The dietician was "surprised" I was NEVER asked what I wanted to eat. YEAH, RIGHT!

They CAN do better. When Dad was in the Cardiac unit in December the food was amazing - fresh salads, stir fries, fresh fruit - the kind of stuff you get in a high end restaurant. Of course he complained bitterly about it because he prefers overcooked canned vegetables, overdone bland (except for salt) meat and lots of carbs.......

As a kid, I hated so many veggies. Once I tasted them fresh, instead of canned,
it was like they were entirely different things.
Of course, my mother's home made bread (always white) was to {die} for.

At the hospital I stayed at overnight after my septoplasty, they had an ala carte system that let me order what I wanted off of a menu which I really liked. Now I am not sure how things would have worked if I had a specific diet restriction since many doctors seem to be clueless about diabetic diets but if your doctor is on board with the way you eat, then this hospital's system would have been worked out great for you.
Sorry you had to go through all the hassle after dealing with surgery that you dealt with. I don't understand why hospitals aren't up to date with diabetic diets and give way too many carbohydrates.

Complain, complain, complain...
Send a frog off to the hospital where they grow the finest "exotic" bugs and she complains that there are too many wings on these bugs. Gee Whiz...
Glad to hear recovery is going well and that you didn't catch any of the "exotic" bugs hospitals are known for.

I thought the selection process was much simpler.
If you are green, they try to kill you!
Maybe someone was craving French cuisine.
I do have fabulous legs!

So that is what medicare tastes like...
My visit last June for a week was A La carte. Was ok but no flavor. I am not one to salt things, but .... wasn't very hungry most of the time I was there though.

You and Tina Turner. Maybe yours should be insured, too?

Thank you Maddie--and everyone else, of course.
