Ah yes-- from all those years on the oar of the prison galley-- roaming the Mediterranean, in search of unsuspecting merchant ships to plunder..
funny, I always pictured you more of the
rum runner type

Hmmm, an oar is a bit, make that considerably larger than the application I had in mind.

Have you never seen the movie Forbidden Planet? He's the ID monster. Great sci-fi movie from the 50's.

This kidding around has been a welcome distraction from my physical discomfort.
I was a bit disturbed by the quick dismissal; but also relieved because of the hospital "diet".
Though supposedly specified as low carb, every tray placed before me held at least double or triple
the carbohydrates I had lately been consuming for any meal--including a buffet. The last straw was the last lunch!
Ninety four grams--I kid you not. To tolerate that, I would need to triple my insulin.
I did indeed object, and ended up speaking to the assistant head dietitian. (Yeah, right!)
My line was "How can a hospital NOT understand what DIABETES is?" She apologized,
but I doubt that I made a difference. {{{but it felt good to vent about something WRONG}}}
They are probably still whining about that b#tch on the fifth floor. I really COULDN'T care less!

I am lactose intolerant and have other issues with diary too so what did they give me when I woke up from the hysterectomy? All dairy based crap - in spite of it being clearly marked. Then they tried to give me liquid coffee mate as "milk" yuck!

Friggin' hospitals. HARUMPH! Trying to send our favorite frog into some form of diabetic shock just to KEEP her! How DARE they!!! (Nope, not real familiar with diabetes, other than if you don't watch your diet, you get all goofy) I think you should show them your new and improved cleavage, and tell them you're taking your new toys and GOING HOME!

her and her tatas are already home, if I read her comment about the abrupt dismissal and relief.
apparently the hospital just couldn't cope with that much froggy goodness.

So I'm slow on the uptake. It's been a rough weekend.
