I have to agree with hangfire... the rest of what you said doesn't have anything to do with homeopathy... you're talking about using things that have ingredients in them.

as to the LED arrays, (or just light...) that stuff can work for some things.

NASA has done work on LED therapy, and found value in it, bright blueish light in the morning helps give your circadian clock a kick, just like at night it throws it out of whack... get up and go bask in the sun in the mornings.

red light penetrates the skin and has shown to have metabolic effects on wound healing (iirc).

however, most of the LED stuff is vastly overpriced.

saw an article about a guy that'd made himself a laser ball cap for his bald spot. though I haven't seen a follow up.

I agree with 49er... I never mentioned homeopathy specifically, plus other people have mentioned some 'cures' that have worked for them. The chemical items I mentioned were minerals and one mental technique which I found useful - subsequently this seemed like a good place to shoehorn in an endorsement. Sorry if I derailed the conversation (even as combative as it was). As for the copper bracelets, tinfoil etc, I guess I should have used the term 'quackery'. For the LED arrays: I was talking about those handheld devices that are supposed to cure depression. I consider them ‘quackery’ even tho I’ve never used one. I haven’t heard about the other LED stuff which others have mentioned, so have no opinion on that. As PR suggested, some LED wavelength therapy may be interesting to watch.

Good sir... I believe the only bit of minor contention, (that I was agreeing with, in humor) was your saying 'to return to the original topic' and then you talked about actual effective things, where the original topic was homeopathy.

bright blue light for depression is a thing, it helps combat seasonal affective disorder, which is something northern folks often are afflicted with, due to the lower amounts of sunlight... though a little handheld thing may not produce enough light... some of those LED panels that are reported to help are VERY bright...

as with many posts here, things start on one subject, and then wander. your discussion of things that DO work for you is, I'm sure, welcome.

I've never been that hostile to the copper bracelet idea. They're cheap, probably harmless at worst, and they do leave a green stain on your skin under some conditions. That means that at least something chemical is happening.

Tin foil hats might actually affect electrical fields.

Puts copper bracelets and tinfoil hats head and shoulders above Homeopathy.

Unfortunately, bracelets and hats don't seem to work if you do actual statistical studies. Obviously, it's a quantum mechanical effect and observing it changes the results.

I presume there are extra expensive copper quackery bracelets.

The very idea of homeopathy is flat-out stupid. Water has a memory, so if it touches a molecule, it retains the property of it? I agree 100% that this crap should NOT be sold in stores next to real meds. But I also feel that "vitamins" and "supplements" should be regulated. I had to go through my father's medicine cabinet and throw out most of what I found. He was taking megadoses of vitamin E, which is a fat-soluble and can become toxic, and over-the-counter potassium, which can stop your heart, especially if, like him, you're on heart medication!
