Left SD card out of cpap last night

Post by AMK » Sun Mar 08, 2015 8:57 am

I'd taken my data off the SD card yesterday and forgot to put it back in the cpap machine. I got up this morning and put the card back in, took it out, and Sleepyhead only shows a summary. Is there any way to get the actual data now? I knew I would eventually do this.

Short answer "NO"
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Thanks, TexasTom... at least I'm not alone, then. Upset, though, because I'm making changes and really trying to keep an eye on the data. Oh well....

One thing I would suggest to try and prevent this from happening is try to make a habit of putting your SD card right back into your machine after you import the data that way there will be less chance of forgetting to do it at a later time.

Joe, yes, I have always done that until yesterday. I just seem to be getting more and more tired and forgetful.

Really unimportant in the grand scheme, I've been monitoring my details pretty close and going to bed late at night and forgetting the SD card on the lower level of the house is not important. Once you have a couple of months of data, 1 or 2 missing nights is nothing. Consider how many don't monitor anything.

Besides when I awake in the morn I usually hit the info button to see last nights usage and AHI numbers. All we need to know really if treatment has been going well.

I dislike the numbers on the machine because sometimes I have to get up in the middle of the night and the numbers on my machine only show the numbers for the last use. For example if I have 5 hours of use, get up to deal with something and after I get back to bed I have 2 hours of use my machine only shows 2 hours of use for the day. So I have to use Sleepyhead to get a better picture.

Understand your curiosity and wanting answers but they will come. After a month you will know how you respond to many scenarios, patience .... one night lost is the topic and that is trivial.

I left my SD card out of my machine (it was in my computer) for about 6 days. I found that Sleepyhead's display of the summary data was not correct, and I actually had to resurrect ResScan to be able to see the summary data correctly. This may have been an anomaly, but had the same thing happen today when I put my SD card in my computer. There was only summary data for last night according to Sleepyhead, and Sleepyhead did not display the correct summary data. Not a problem in the big picture, since my sleep doctor just looks at the statistics when he verifies my compliance anyways, he doesn't look at individual days.

So it goes...

Wake up in the morning, remove mask, sit up in bed on edge of bed, using smartphone, I remote in to my workstation, kick off sleep master, it reads my sdcard data in my s9 vpap Bilevel auto wirelessly, I then kick off sleepyhead, it reads the new data on the workstation, select daily report and review the nights info.

No sdcard removal, no write protect hassles, every morning like clockwork... Access to data before getting up from the bed...

Technology is cool...
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

" reads my sdcard data in my s9 vpap Bilevel auto wirelessly, "

I gather most of the machine aren't able to do that. I'm in my second week of CPAP and am using a Resmed machine supplied by Respiratory Homecare Solutions. I think it is some sort of one month trial. I'm a little vague as to how this company works. All I know is they have my insurance info and my credit card number.

I'd like to try down loading software and looking at my results, but the technician told me if I take the sd card out and put it back in it will erase the data. Is this true?

She has the machine set up so I can't change the pressure settings. I'm getting a bit impatient to take a more active part and have more understanding of my treatment. Sometimes I feel as if I am being treated like a child, or an idiot.
