Due to my sons health issues, we go through our deductible and out of pocket max almost every year. So every bit helps. And I started this year needing a machine. But that's where we're at. It's not worth the hassle of going through insurance. We stocked up on items as soon as I heard that my employer was switching to Cigna. I would like a FFM as a backup, and I ordered one to sort of test the waters. But with all the confusion, I thought it best to sever all ties before I was billed for anything.

I know Verus takes Medicare and other insurances - it might be worth it to see if they can take Cigna. I know sometimes insurance will limit to one place like Cigna/Apria. Apria has a large Medicare market also.

Verus is just mail-order for me so not sure if the even have RT's to send out but if you don't need one to complicate things give em a go. I cpap dot com took Medicare I'd be using them but that's another choice if you are paying OOP.

I used cpap.com when BCBS was less than useful or convenient.
They sent me a letter when their favorite DME had not heard from me for several months,
"reminding" me that I might need supplies. This made my rat-dar beep furiously.

My letter always asks: "Are you following your doctors orders"? Implying that because I haven't ordered supplies from them on their schedule that I'm not following doctor's orders. I ignore them until I want to order.
