Since this has been the only mask I can tolerate, I agree that it is a darned shame it is rarely offered. I just don't understand that since it is so comfortable.

Last night, thanks to reading this thread, I started really noticing how much pressure the mask was placing on my upper teeth. Due to having to severely tighten the straps to avoid leaks, it seemed the pressure was mild to moderate. At my next dental checkup, I will make sure I ask the dentist to look for tooth movement although I am not experiencing any symptoms as far as I know.

My wife's teeth have shifted. Her regular check ups show the shift as minor, but in a year it went from "slight overlap" to "overbite". Yes, mid 50's. Ortho recommended braces, but she is like "I'm not a teenager!"

In her case multiple surgeries due to a ruptured colon 10 years ago left her with some pretty banged up teeth when they inserted respiration tubes. Broke a crown off, molar pulled
later, teeth shifted more than expected.

No, she doesn't use a CPAP. Just a tidbit that teeth can, and do,shift in your 50's. She is cute 5'6" 120# but doesn't want braces at all (due to overbite, lower teeth are wearing into enamel on the back side of upper teeth.
