I hear you...my first machine in May of 2009 was an old (but unused M Series APAP machine with CFlex and no AFlex) so probably 2007 model. Private party purchase and definitely a 0 hour machine. Then in August or Sept of 2009 I got a new zero hour M series APAP with AFlex this time (just had to try AFlex and wanted a back up). Then a couple of months later the first 50 series machines were released (Nov or Dec maybe). At the time no software compatible at all yet because Encore hadn't been updated yet but was still frothing because I wanted one even without software because I knew the software would eventually came up.palerider wrote: I remember having just acquired my first machine (m-pro) in 2009, and then very shortly thereafter, PR said "THPPPT!" look what you COULD HAVE GOTTEN! NYA NYA NYA with the system one announcement... *grrr* *grumble* *sniff*
As it turned out I took a year long vacation from the internet in 2010 and from my desire for the latest and greatest...and it wasn't until my return in Feb 2011 that I started getting the itch for the latest and greatest again. So in March or April maybe it was I got my first System One 550 used for maybe 3 nights. The lure of the added data was just too strong to resist anymore.
Funny thing though...I never really had a problem with my M series. It definitely wasn't loud like some people were complaining about. When I told hubby I wanted a newer machine he said "why" and I said because it was "more quiet". He just laughed and said "come up with a different excuse because I can't even hear the one you are using"...so then I told him "more data".
Like I even needed an excuse to get something I wanted He lets me have anything I want anyway.
