Yes. Backup rate is set to auto. The ticks in the graph are the machine initiated breaths.

I see a more telling picture when I enable the Timed Breath flag .... the reason I am on ASV in the first place.
I thin you've found your answer, good uncle,

It sure looks that way. Now I know the "what". And to Greyghost's point, it very well could be related to REM - the "why".
Unable to let sleeping dogs lie, my only remaining question is in regards to how it impacts my health. I haven't measured my O2 since titration a year ago - it might be worth picking up an oximeter just to satisfy my curiosity.

the cms50f and i are probably the nicest of the inexpensive monitors, under 100$ at aliexpress.com if you're not in a big hurry to get them. wrist worn, the I records multiple sessions. both import directly into sleepyhead.

Thanks, PR! You saved me the legwork of doing more research. I have Amazon Prime and went that route to get the CMS50F. Should be here by Friday.

I appreciate the help!

I never realized there was a wrist watch version, that is very cool and would probably be more accurate than being on your finger all night.

The wrist is where the monitor attached, the sensor itself is still on your finger.

it's better because the sensor is much lighter and stays on the finger better...

Well, not if those are post-arousal centrals. If that's the case, what you've done is wipe out the compensation mechanism and created a problem, not solved it.

Do you have an oximeter you can wear and check in the am to see what took place overnight?
