The only message I get when I reinstall the SD card and plug the machine back in is "Please wait, SD card is in Use." I am sure all it is doing is verifying the card. It doesn't write anything or erase anything to the card upon reinstalling it. It still contains all the data from day one on it. I do make sure to unlock/lock the access depending on cards location though.

if it doesn't like the card, it'll tell you that it has to reformat it, and you have to give it permission by turning and pressing.
